  1. If I scar easily and maybe heal slow( I think I heal slow ) Maybe because of accutane 2 years ago.. Is it then GAME OVER for me, to just fade my scars or made them a bit better looking with some treatments are needling /dermaroller,dermapen,dermastamp,single) a total no go? even with a small needle length?
  2. right cheek(worse) left cheek (not as bad as right) ps i don't know if the pics will show up because I'm new to this site and don't really know how to use it... and sorry for not rotating the pics. Anyways.. I get papules that turn into pustules. They take about 2 weeks or more to go away and leave this horrible bright red mark, and I don't even pop it. I ordered Dan's BP treatment and Purpose cleanser and Olay moisturizer (the one he recommends) and I'm going to start The Regimen when my o
  3. Hey, I live in the UK, so Dan's products are not readily available. After reading good review after good review I have decided to order some of the products off amazon.com after you guys give me some advice At the moment, twice a day I cleanse and exfoliate (the freederm range) and then moisturise. Two weeks ago I started using BP 5%, in 3 days my acne was really improving, but the next week was met with peeling skin, and even some cuts. I immediately stopped using the BP 5 and focused on hea
  4. Okay, so my acne has been moderate for about seven years, but I finally got it to clear up using the regimen (not totally word for word but mine works so whatever) but of course I still have scarring. My scarring isn't too bad - bad enough to bother me but not so much I can't live with it for a year or so - and I'm wondering whether I should go straight for the scar treatment (thinking fractional co2 laser) or whether I should go on a course of accutane beforehand. My doctor has offered to p
  5. i am 20 years old male....my face is full of pimples...on my forehead, cheeks, chin ,jaws...it just looks ugly...i recently went to a dermatologist..he gave me clindamycin phosphate and nicotinmide gel to apply in the morning,, and benzoyl peroxide gel 2.5% gel for nights... i hv been using these for about 12-13 days and so far there has been no improvement...its soo frustrating i want to look good not this ugly mess...how long can i expect to see the results ...
  6. Actually this was the intention of my first post ever on this forum. where is the successful acne treatments directory (/subforum)? a place where all the people who got rid of acne would present their successful treatment no matter the type (lifestyle/diet/hormonal/topical/etc). all of the success stories are lost in different subforums or even as ordinary post responses. seemingly there are a few types of problems which lead to acne, and some lucky people found the solution. can we pin
  7. For the last 5 years I've been constantly struggling with bad acne. i've felt hopeless, fearful, ugly, unlovable. Lately i've been fantasizing about a place i could wake up every morning and feel accepted by my self and those around me. I know its a pipe dream. but what if there was a place were people could come to vacation or to receive therapy or go through accutane treatment or any type of skin treatment around other people who are going through the exact same thing. a place of tolerance, l
  8. I am from the UK and recently purchased the range of regiman face product. I wanted your opinions on how effective this product actually is in comparison to anything else. I am also on differin right now, but I need something for the morning too and thought this would help. Having gone through some of these pictures, I saw success in all of you beautiful people. I am not happy with my apperance and wish to cleanse my face with acne, so please divulge any information regarding this product. R
  9. Help! I misused apple cider vinegar while treating an acne spot, and now I have what might possibly be a burn on my skin from it. The skin around the (now dried out) pimple is very dark, red, and somewhat raised and rough to touch. I now realize I didn't dilute the vinegar enough and left it on my skin for too long. What is the best recommended treatment for this? How do I heal the skin and reduce the redness from the burn quickly?
  10. Hello everyone! I'm Tyler and I'm going to be chronicling my journey on Accutane (Isotretinoin). First off, let me give you so background information. I am 16 years old, a male, 6'2, and 165 lbs. I'm very active, with basketball taking up my days almost everyday after school. I've had acne since (my guess) 6th grade. I think that is when someone first said something to me about my acne, and man did it feel belittling. But people get older and more mature and people stop saying things!
  11. Hey guys, I just joined this forum so firstly, hello! Up until a few months ago I've suffered with red raw acne on my cheeks and jawline. I'm no longer a teenager (by a long shot!) so did some research and yes, I'm pretty sure I was a sufferer of adult acne. Luckily I have a wonderful friend in the states who recommended Paula's Choice to me, as she's been using their products for a long while to treat blackheads and the occasional breakout. At first I was a bit cynical about it all

    Please Help Me Out):

Hello(: I'm 17 years old, female. I've struggled from acne beginning in 6th grade, it was mostly in my forehead. I used Duac Topical gel and it seemed to have worked because for 7th-9th grade my skin was wonderful! Then around sophomore year, my acne came back but it left red marks all over my cheeks. My forehead barely gets breakouts, but my cheeks have scars and tiny red dots that resemble red blackheads. It's incredibly discouraging and I often cry from frustration because even if ever

    Accutane Log

My Accutane Log! Hello and welcome to my Accutane log! I am 5'9" and weigh 135 lbs and am female. I have had moderate acne since I was 13. My acne is not exactly cystic, but is rash-like--spreading over certain parts of my face and stubbornly staying for long periods of time. I would also say that I had plenty of closed comedones, which are incredibly frustrating because they give your skin a rough, bumpy look that is especially embarrassing in the sunlight. Not too mention the ugly, swollen pr
  14. Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and for quite a while now I've been looking into getting a laser resurfacing on my face. I had acne breakout during my teenage years and now that I'm 25yrs old, I want to get rid of the acne scarrings that's been left from the breakout. Being an asian ethnicity I pose of complications of hyperpigmentation that's why I want to take my time on this matter and take the safest route as possible but also enough to see some actual results. I've been researching abou

  16. Ordered the kit this past week and hope to get it in the mail this week! I've read over everything but there's only one thing I'm confused about. Since this will be my first time using any of these products, should I use the BP all over my face or just do it in problem areas or vice versa (start with problem areas, do whole face after a couple weeks) to start out with?
  17. hi all......i just want 2 have an advise on which treatment i should go for my acne....i used 2 have white heads, black heads, papules, pustules, cysts and so on...i have back and chest acne too.....my face is very oily also......i think mine is hormonal acne....when i researched about hormonal acne in net, i found that the main symptoms of acne due to increased androgen hormone levels are: excessively oily skin, acne mainly in jaw line and chin, increased hair growth in face and other body part

    Help!

Hello everyone, I am new to this website but I have been finding it really helpful in the last hour that I joined. I am 16 years old, and I know that is young for this type of site but i need helpful advice! I had mild to moderate acne in 8th grade, and the summer going into 9th. I got put on liquid medications to put on in the morning and before bed from the dermatologist, but i wasn't finding that they were improving my skin at all. So, as it got worse and i got more self conscious about it, I
  20. I've just ordered the Clenser and Moisturizer to do the Regimen because I currently have BenzaClin (aka Duac) . It contains 1% clindamycin phosphate and 5% benzoyl peroxide. I was prescribed this for my day treatment and Retin-A for nights. I was thinking should I use both of these as prescribed as my treatment options for the Regimen? Perhaps use only the BenzaClin as it is closer to the Regimen's recommended treatment (though stronger) or invest in the Regimen's treatment of 2.5% BP? Has anyo
  21. Hi Everyone, I am just looking for some help. I attached a picture and am looking for some advice. I've had acne for the last 10 years. I had 6 sessions of photodynamic therapy and I also receive monthly salycilic acid peels. I also started doing the Acne.org regime with all of their products. I'm sick of having to put pounds of make up on everyday and feeling so uncomfortable with my face. I will try anything!!
  22. Hey guys! I just wanted to start this topic on the over the counter product, Tea Tree Oil, and post my journey with using this product. So before going any further, I just wanted to give a brief history on my acne. I've had acne since I started puberty...so maybe when I was around 12. I never really knew how to clear it up and did not have much help with my skin so I was practically on my own and I had no idea what to do. All I used at that age was an astringent and it really didnt
  23. The rest of my face is pretty clear except for my left cheek which has dark scar spots from the acne. (Btw does anyone know if this is a specific type of scarring? Hyperpigmentation??) Any natural methods for tackling this..? (I heard olive oil at night is good... Also apple cider vinegar? Raw Aloe Vera leaf?) For my bacne I've started using Nautrogena Body clear body wash... What can I use with it? Is iodized sea salt water okay to use? I don't have non-iodized.. :c also benzoyl peroxide on
  24. What angers me most about acne is all the missed opportunities it caused me to have during my teen years that I will never get back. I had no friends and never did anything exciting as a teen because I lived in isolation not by choice. I'm 21 now and have pretty much clear skin and I feel like I'm years behind everyone else because it socially stunted me and it's hard to start a social life from scratch as you get older.
