Life changing & affordable
This has changed my skin completely. I started using the regime 2 weeks ago and my milia around my eyes and my acne has completely gone away. I use the entire acne line and it's increduble! And the price point is amazing!

Bumps
Is it okay with bumps on face? I have many bumps on my right cheeks, this product says that it has benzyl peroxide and I believe that it is good for bumps.

Product used: The Regimen
The first thing that has worked for me
I don't normally write reviews but I felt this was something worth reviewing. As a teenager I had pretty good skin but when I reached 20, I started to develop acne on my cheeks. I used Murad for over a year to try to help my acne and it hardly changed at all. Frustrated, I was looking for a different product line when I found Acne.org; I bought the 3 step regimen and have been using it for about 6 months now (minus the lotion because I had read negative reviews about it and didn't want to chance it) and my skin is the best it has been in years. Any pimple I get is small and goes away quickly and I rarely have more than one pimple at a time now (which is a huge change from before). They can dry out your skin a little (I have oily skin and still found my skin dry at times) so I'd recommend using their jojoba oil as well and you'll be good to go! I'm so pleased with the results of this product line and would recommend it to anyone struggling with acne. Now that my acne is under control, I've been starting to use the Acne.org AHA to help reduce scarring. I've been using it for a few weeks now and haven't noticed any dramatic changes but anything is better than what I had before. I highly recommend these products.

Excellent product self esteem saver!
Better than every other topical product I've tried - and I've tried nearly all of them. I know it's only 4% but if applied like dan says in his regimen it works absolutely brilliantly. I've suffered with acne my whole life and my self esteem has been saved by brevoxyl. Pleasant fragrance and sinks in quickly. Got a bit of dryness at first but moisturising helped and after a while so did the dryness. Great product.

Love this stuff
I've been using acnecide for just under 2 weeks now and I would say that this stuff is amazing. I started to see results in just 1 week, I had been looking for an acne treatment for such a long time and this stuff is a miracle. It does make your skin dry but I just use a moisturiser after using it. I use a water based moisturiser as that's what my doctor suggested to me because an oily one would not work for my skin type.

It helped
When I used this with the Clarisonic brush (like an idiot), my face was completely clear but felt so dry, I couldn't handle it. I'd rather have acne than go back to the way my face felt when using it. When I used it without the clarisonic, it didn't completely clear my acne though. It worked fast and really well but I prefer to not use benzoyl peroxide.

Product used: The Regimen
Helped for a while
I've had acne, as in pimples and many clusters of little forehead bumps, ever since I was eleven. I started using the Regimen exactly how Dan said to use it. Within a few months my skin was almost flawless and continued getting better and better. But after a little over a year I started to notice my skin breaking out on my cheeks, a place where it never had before. A few months go by and my chin starts getting acne, followed up by my nose. By that time, my skin also began to have layers of oil on it only a couple hours after washing it in the morning. But just in case, I continued using the products. Recently, whilst my chin and cheeks are still covered in acne, my horrible small bumps on my forehead, along with plenty of larger pimples, have returned. It is just about worse than ever, and I'm seeking the help of apple cider vinegar next.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
