Pros:

It helped my acne, but did not rid my face of it. It keeps it under control, meaning you probably won't get huge red zits often. It also makes the acne looks less red (if it is).

Cons:

Slightly dries out skin, but it isn't a big deal.

Keeps acne under control and makes your skin look better.

Pros:

gets rid of small zits quickly, easy to use

Cons:

drys out skin, gave me a rash on my chin

This product is good if you don't break out a lot, and for small zits but don't use it too much or it will dry out your skin and cause it to flake

Pros:

works quickly, controls oil from returning if you have a face that looks like an oil slick within an hour of washing your face

Cons:

it can be a little drying if used with additional 10%BP for spot treatment breakouts, can cause a little redness

i use this product @ night and depending on how dry/not dry my face looks in the morning, i will use it again or subsitute with clean & clear oil free daily pore cleanser which softens my skin. i also use some oil of olay lotion for sensitive skin for dry areas. i am 29 years old and had the infrequent light breakouts while growing up- nothing major, but just this year began experiencing cysts around my chin which are ridiculously embarrassing and take forever to go away. it really effects my professional life where i work directly with people. i have tried EVERYTHING and found anything w/ salicylic acid makes my skin worse. i was using purpose prior to the clean and clear which worked great until the cysts began then i needed something stronger. since using this product, i haven't experienced any cysts!

Pros:

it works, i dont get big acne brakeouts anymore

Cons:

i still brake out from time to time, especially around my monthly cycle, and the lotion dries up my skin

it works but i still get occasional brake outs just but nothing big anymore, just keep using the system and it will keep the big acne pimples away!

Pros:

It is starting to work for me already and i have only been using it about a week!!!! (:

Cons:

My skin was really embarrising as it went REALLY flakey around my chin area.however i found a good moisturizer with vitamin e in and it is now fine :)
i also had a really bad burning sensation a few nights into it and my face went red

This is working for me, i just definetley suggest a good moisturizer, to stop the redness i put panoxyl on about an hour before going to bed then put moisturizer on as i was going into bed and it was ok. also at the start i only used it 3 times a week as my skin couldnt cope. hope i helped (: x ps. i know this should be the right product as my doctor gave it to me

Pros:

1)Easy to use. 2)My skin wasn't dry during using it. 3)Skin became softer and smoother. 4) It didn't make my acne worse.

Cons:

1)It didn't help me with my acne. Not a little bit.
2)When I applied it my skin got red and itchy (but, funny, it wasn't dry).

I paid 150€ for Clearogen(!!!) and I really believed that it would help me. I was so positive about it. I trusted Dr Khadavi and I respected him as a doctor but I think that changed. I am not as naive as was before. That was the last thing I bought from somewhere that are just trying to earn money. Instead of buying some olive oil and vitamins for my skin I bought this product. And believe me-it is not worth to buy it-not mather what other people may say. Maybe it works for adults with some pimples-but for people like me (my acne is hormonal; I am 17 years old)-there is only one solution. Derm and his perscription.

Pros:

Gets rid of acne faster than you could believe!

Cons:

Nothing.

In no more than two-to-three days my acne started to disappear. Now my monster pimple is also starting to dry up and vanish. It works so instantly!!!!! =] But then again, for others, it may not. It all depends on skin type.

Pros:

It gets rid of pimples in about 1 day or 2.

Cons:

Sensitive skin :(. I broke out in a red rash. Today would have been my 3rd day using it. My eyes are very swollen and my face is red, feels very hot and its very bumpy. I get married next week!!!! I hope it goes away!!!

Don't use it if you have sensitive skin. Not even once per day. Don't try something new soooo close to a big event like I did.

Pros:

Clears up spots well, especially if used daily and not just on individual spots when they arise
Very cheap

Cons:

Slight sting at first but this disappears
If used too much, makes skin dry and red

Definitely would recommend it, I have sensitive skin but the stinging wasn't unbearable, and it helped clear up most of my spots :)

Pros:

Amazing product! They have made the formula better because it used to be watery and didnt work as well. I have used proactiv before but this is just as good! Works great!

Cons:

It would be nice if I could find the green tea moisterizer or if it came with the package.

Graet product, and affordable, proactiv is so expensive, who can afford $38 a month for acne stuff? $17 for the acnefree kit and it lasts a month and a half. Great deal! ;)

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
