Absolutely love it!!

Pros:

Really works!
Doesn't dry out skin
Very affordable

Cons:

None!

This regimen is truly amazing! I've had acne, cystic acne since I was about 12 years old. I've seen multiple doctors and gone through multiple treatments. My face would clear up for a short while then break out worse and worse every time! Finally, about 3 months ago, my dad found this website and ordered me the complete regimen, and finally at 23 years old I'm satisfied with my skin. Although I wish I could find something to fix my scars, I'm so happy that I don't have to deal with my acne anymore. Fingers crossed. This is the only thing so far that truly has me hopeful that i won't have to deal with another huge break out ever again! Like I said, absolutely love it!

It was good

Pros:

Great

Cons:

Red and irritated skin at first
Drying
Flaky skin

I've used the regimen in the past and it cleared up my acne. I stopped using it for about a year without any breakouts and then my acne started to reappear! It was a bad decision stop, which was my fault. Now I'm back on using the regimen. Well, for the most part the treatment. I remember on both counts having super dry irritated skin when starting the treatment. I'm using the treatment again and my face is still flaky even with jojoba oil added into the moisturizer. It's been a bit over 3 months since I've been back on the treatment and my acne hasn't gone down. If not, it's still the same to worse around my jaw line and I have never had any serious breakouts along my jaw line. I'm giving it a 4 star because it has worked in the past and I am hoping my acne will clear up like it once did. I believe that the moisturizer from the regimen may be the main cause of my acne still persisting. I know I should probably do a separate review for the moisturizer, but the moisturizer doesn't do much for ME. My skin would flake from the littlest touches, for example taking off a sweatshirt or shirt and I would have to moisturize again. If you want the BP treatment to work, find a better moisturizer!

Awesome product

Pros:

Clears acne super fast
face is soft and normal looking ( pore size)
comes with lotion/ sunscreen so my face isn't too dry in the morning.

Cons:

A little pricey
doesn't work on dark marks too well.
a little drying when lotion isn't used.

I have been using this product for about a week. The first night i used it, my skin was dry and i felt as though i had wasted my money because my face was so irritated . The next morning I looked AMAZING!!! all my acne had either cleared or gotten smaller. The irritation bumps that were so hard to get rid of were gone with one use. I recommend this to everybody i know. Works wonders.

Works magic

Pros:

It's nearly impossible to over do it
It's reduced painful pimples to nearly nothing overnight

took a little time to kick in, but that's generally how it works for all treatments. Once it took effect, it's done wonders. I've found myself stressed from school, eaten loads of junk food, and caught right in the middle of my period and this stuff stopped all of my out breaks over night :)

Cystic acne

AWESOME

Pros:

Not too expensive!
IT WORKS

Cons:

Skin gets dry
Skin stings a little after use

I have had moderate acne for the past 4 years. I have tried birth control pills, antibiotics, prescribed creams from my doctor, natural & organic face products, microdermabrasions, vitamins, and almost every facial product you could find at Target or Walgreens. This is the ONLY product that has worked for me! I have been using The Regimen for the last month and within the first week my skin was almost completely clear'and it's stayed that way!! I used to have anywhere from 10-30 zits at a time, and now I have maybe 1 or 2 that are very small and barely noticeable. I have very sensitive skin and I haven't really had a problem with this system.

Does what it says

Pros:

shrinks zits
affordable
prevents new forming acne :)

Cons:

Redness
Dryness
Not enough product (only 0.75 oz)

It does exactly what its says it does it helps clear skin just like in the regimen. It does make your skin red and irritated so it took me about 3 weeks to get used to it. Just be patient and find a really thick moisturizer to help with the side effects. I thought it helped a lot when i used a moisturizer with sunscreen in it after this because the white cast the sunscreen has helps tone down the redness. It also works very well as a spot treatment (which is the name) because it drys up the zit over night. Good luck :)

Absolutely brilliant

Pros:

Cheap
Prevents new spots
Helps clear scars

Cons:

Can sting a little
Lightens skin

It appears this cream is only good for some skin types (having read other reviews) - my skin is very tough, dark olive European and I have never suffered from dry, flaky skin, nor have I suffered from oily skin, it's always been a good balance. So, if that's your skin type then it's a good start. I use the 10% cream 3 times a day at the moment - I'd never had acne until I hit 23, I'm nearly 25 now and this is the best my skin has been since I started treating my acne - I was previously diagnosed as level 3. Anyway, it has helped slow down the growth of new spots, if I do get new spots they're much smaller and heal faster. My existing spots are all completely gone, but the best thing is the help it's had with the scarring - unbelievable!! I had huge red and purple lumps all over my cheeks and chin and over the last month they're slowly disappearing. Definitely the right cream for you if you've got the right kind of skin for it.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
