Pros:

it really clears up your face if you use the 3 piece kit like instructed, and remember to use the refining mask, which is the most powerful and effective part of the kit.

Cons:

it can really dry out your skin if you overuse.
and it takes about 2 to 3 weeks for it to really clear up your skin.

it is a great acne preventative and i absolutely reccomend it, it completely healed up my acne in just one month. i recommend you use it one time a day during winter if your skin becomes dry and remember to use a moisturizer. and if you go out on the beach or something use a sunscreen. my acne went from moderate to very light.

Pros:

pills taste good&dont cause upset stomach.cream is gentle yet effective.

Cons:

first time i used the cream my eyes got a little watery, but it hasnt happened since then.

This product really works.I've only been using it for 3 days now and I've seen drastic improvements!I only have a few acne spots left now! It's easy to use and pills are easy to remember to take.I've tried everything else out there, this was my last resort and it seems like I'll definately be sticking with it!

Pros:

I used the Severe stuff before and it completely cleared my skin, but I stopped using and my acne came back. I have been using it for about 2 months now and I still have break outs. It takes a long time to work.

Cons:

Your skin will get worse before it gets better, sometimes for months. My skin is dry and flaky right now, but eventually it gets better when your skin adjusts. It does bleach clothes and that makes it hard to use on other body parts.

I thas worked for me before, but you seriously have to use it for months, and it will dry out your skin because your skin takes time to adjust to the benzoyl peroxide.

Pros:

its clearing up my face acne and chest acne

Cons:

skin is just alittle dry

PanOxyl works pretty good so far. I have tried hundreds of products from proactive to prescription medications and none of that has worked. Last week I picked this product up and started washing my face morning and night and started to see clearer skin, less acne, and the dark spots on my skin is starting to fade! I would absolutely recommend this product for African- American skin who has trouble with ridding dark spots. Should follow up with a light moisturizer.

Pros:

It is simple, easy and effective to apply, if used correctly. Spots will be reduced overnight, and if application of this is still continued thoroughly, then spots will be noticably reduced.

Cons:

Smells of gash.

I am sexy.

Pros:

Reduces redness and pimples. Works well over night

Cons:

Reduces but generally does not eliminate. Smells kind of stanky but ok when on skin. If you put on to much you can see the residue after it dries.

Works well but isn't necessarily a complete fix for acne problems. Some complain of dry skin but my face rarely is dry.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
