Pros:

It works! No animal testing, natural product. Feels great! Their natural soap is fantastic stuff!

Cons:

None thus far.

I should state the following (in case it helps you): I'm a 34 year old female, who quit smoking after nealy 20 years, started an exercise routine and made it a significant point to eat healthy. I've also been diagnosed as hypothyroid and take medication. ANY of these can change your hormonal imbalance. For me, I suddenly got terrible acne under my chin and on my upper neck. I tried DOZENS of acne products that didn't work, then found Carley's. I've been using their products for over a year now. The basic acne wash rid about 85-90% of my acne within a week. I stepped up to the Kick-A**, and it's been gone ever since! No joke. No exaggeration. If I stop using it (if I'm not paying attention and run out), the acne starts coming back. I'm confident Carley's is the difference. I love love love their products!

Pros:

I like the smell of the product

Cons:

The cons of this product is that it did not work at all for me. As a matter of fact my acne became worse. I know you should wait 3 months when using a product to see improvement. I waited 10 months and things just got worse and worse. I used the product EXACTLY as they told me to. Also they include free skin clearing vitamins. Not free at all come month 2 I was auto enrolled in the vitamin program and they debited my bank account $60 every month for those vitamins and it was a pain to cancel.

I would never order from this company ever again. Not only was the product a joke so was their customer service. I am not a ATM and that is the way they treated me. Also when I was finally able to cancel my account, I was told Proactiv is used to keep CLEAR SKIN CLEAR NOT TO CLEAR CURRENT ACNE!!!! Where is that statement on T.V. and Website?

Pros:

It really works!!
I promise when you start using this product, you will rarely see pustules on your face or in other words, those white, ugly pimples on your pace. It kills the bacteria by providing oxygen and that stops those white pimples coming out. you will have some redness on your face left, but redness is fine than ugly white pimples.

Cons:

I think, there are not cons necessarily!!
May dry out skin a little bit, but drying is the major reason to kill the bacteria.

Use this facewash one time and specially when you sleep.

Use moisturizer in the morning.

Best moisturizer i know is cetaphil

If you have those white ugly looking pimples. Don't worry, start using panoxyl and you will see results in the week. It will not cause you to breakout. some redness will be left behind but that's normal until your ugly pustules go away. Gently massage this product on your face for 2 minutes. Use only one time and specially before you go to the bed.

Pros:

Light, absorbs well, CLEARS...you see the difference within a few days

Cons:

Dries, but that's a given.

I LOVE the texture of this benzoyl peroxide. it's easy to massage into the skin. Others that i've used have done the cakey and white deal...didn't abosorb. This just feels different and i could tell the difference within a couple of days. I also like that it's not in the 5% -10% range as far as how strong it is. I was using both at one time and i felt like my face was on fire a lot of times. I also tried one with 5% benzoyl peroxide and tea trea oil...I was not a happy camper...lol. Good stuff and you get MORE than enough. I'm in Afghanistan working and it's dirty here and the water is bad. My skin has really suffered. So far so good with this product.

Pros:

Cheep
Effective
Fresh feeling

Cons:

Dry skin /:

I wear a lot of make-up to cover my break outs. I typically break out on my cheeks, and on my chin. The spots can be verrryyyy bad, to the point where I don't want to leave my house. And considering I'm a high school girl, the way you look means EVERYTHING. I've been using this product for maybe a month now. I've developed my own system which is starting to work for me. I use Clean & Clear make-up removing wipes, then The Clean & Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser. (10%BP) Then I use C&C Deep Cleaning Astringent, (0.5% SA) and after, I use C&C Spot Lotion, (2% SA) I still have marks, which I expected. The majority of my acne has gone away, but I do still have the pesky ones that won't go away. I expect that with any product though. And you HAVE to stick with it, or it won't work for you. But I'd say that yes, it works and I'd recommend it (: P.S- I'd follow most of the instructions, but leave the Continuous Control on for longer that 30 seconds like the bottle says. Go for about a minuet of lathering, then get your hands wet and lather again. It seems to work better that way-for me at least. (:

Pros:

Cleared up my acne
Helped even skin my tone
Got rid of blackheads

Cons:

Occasionally dries my skin out (can be solved with occasional moisturizing)
Can bleach clothing if not washed off completely

I've had acne on my chin and between my nose and cheeks for many years and after trying a bunch of products, I think I've found one that actually works. I've been using it for about 5 months now and I get maybe one zit a month. It has also reduced the size of my pores and diminished my blackheads. The only down side is that I have to use all three products morning and night without skipping a day. It can be a pain but if you are really dedicated, then it's worth it!

Pros:

Cleared my acne!!

Cons:

Dried my skin..

Overall i love this product! at the end of the day it does what it's listed as doing; clears acne but can leave skin flakey. i've been following the regimen for a month now and i'm almost totally clear, i still get flakey skin after use but not as bad as when i first started the regimen. but it's never been something acne.org moisturiser can't handle and never as bad as acne!! **One thing i will say to anyone buying from the UK as well as a fairly high shipping fee i had to the pay an extra £18 import tax + handling fees before i could get my product, leaving me short of around £70 for the mens kit.. it's lasted long and would definitely reccomend the regimen but it may be just as effective and a lot cheaper if alternative products available here are used**

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
