Pros:

Eliminated pretty much every pimple on my skin after just 2 days!
The morning after the first use I could immediately see that existing zits had faded. It stops new zits from emerging.

Cons:

Like every other review given on this website I agree with the fact that it dries out ur skin. When you start using the BP, start with a small dosage, to see how your skin reacts. Up the dosage when you see it reacts well. Use moisturiser after BP.

I have tried pretty much every available acne treatment, from everything I could find in stores to Proactiv, and this method works best for me. I use 5% BP as 2.5% is unfortunately not available in my country, and in the beginning I feared that this concentration would do more worse than good, but it didn't. The things you have to keep in mind when using this regime is that it does not work miracles. Don't expect your face to be 100% after the first day, but be consistent and hang on. It worked for me, and it WILL work for you! And dont let the messages about flaking and dry skin scare you off, this you can fix with a good, non-comedogene moisturiser. Stop looking at yourself in the mirror with disgust, and start improving your skin with this regime, because it works! Thanks to acne.org, you guys did an amazing job! You changed my life!

Pros:

Really Really Works!!! My skin looks and feels great.

Cons:

It's expensive and I don't think I am going to get two months worth out of it.

I am 23 and have tried everything over the counter and have been to multiple dermatologists. I eat right and am in great physical health but nothing ever worked. I have been using this for four days and I have seen rapid results. Combine Clearogen with Fish Oil supplements and Zinc and you will see results. Spread the word!!!

Pros:

-It really does work!
-NO more pimples (Perfect Skin)!
-Marks are fading!

Cons:

NOTHING!

-The ONLY acne regimen that has worked! People, listen to me, I'm the PERFECT example of someone who has tried EVERYTHING (Birth Control pils, all type of Anti-biotics, Accutane, diets, natural remedies)! Nothing has worked until NOW! I was very skeptical about Dan's regimen, but decided to try it after reading all the wonderful reviews. For those of you who have not had positive results, I'm sorry (it could be that you're either allergic to Benzoyl Peroxide or it simply has no effect on your type of skin). -Dan, I want to THANK YOU! As a fashion model, my stuggle with acne became intolerable since everyone expects that I be/look PERFECT. Now, I do NOT have to worry about acne! Thanks so much for this WONDER! -For all of you who are skeptical, scared, worried about trying the regimen, give it a shot! You have NOTHING to lose and EVERYTHING to gain!

Pros:

Very Cheap, you can buy it in so many places, can wear it under make-up, and most importantly - it works!!!

Cons:

Results are addictive - even when my skin is clear, I still use it and worry that my skin will get bad over night if I don't!

I have suffered from acne for the past ten years, and have come to terms with the fact I will never truly be rid of it. However, Quinoderm has brought it completely under my control - I no longer get large, painful cyst-like spots, and I swear my skin heals faster! My scarring seems to have faded also. My skin has also developed a restance to its drying effects, and I feel confident using an ordinary, non-acne-treatment cleanser. Excellent product - I just hope they keep making it!! Bottom line is, I started using Quinoderm 4 years ago, and my acne has gone from severe and soul destroying to the odd hangover pimple. Maybe its a result of getting older, but nevertheless, my skin has recovered miraculously from its pre-quinoderm damage.

Pros:

I liked trying something that would work from the inside (the tablets) without getting a prescription. It is VERY affordable.

Cons:

I like The cream really burns, and for a long time too. My skin didn't get worse like some other people said, but it didn't get any better either

I don't think this product is for people who are constantly battling acne like I am. My skin looks the same as it did before I started using it. Truly effective acne kits include the scrub/cleaner as well as a toner and lotion. I think Nature's Cure would work amazingly for people who have mild acne, though.

Pros:

Texture of wash is fine and isn't too foamy when lathered and smell doesn't make me cough.
Cleared up most major acne and comedomes on jawline

Cons:

I have sensitive skin that dries out quickly with things like this so I had to use it once every other day at night. Moisturized with Cetaphil or a Neutrogena.

Worked well but I ran out of the perscrip and using just a gentle wash more ofter started working great for me! If I need to I will use it again

Pros:

I was having a hard time with my skin all of a sudden my senior year. Proactive really helped my skin get better. I had tried putting oatmeal on my face which helped a while but quit.

Cons:

It drys the face the first few weeks of use, but I guess thats normal. I had to use an additional moisturizer.

Use the product everyday and night..The moisturizer is so smooth to me. It stopped constant breakouts that other products and remedies didnt do. I also used Philosophy Clear acne treatment..I thought Proactive did a better job though. Now I cut a lemon and squeeze the juice out and smooth it on my face with a soft towel if I miss a day of use it helps with breakouts. Just make sure to use the lemon at night if you try it. Also use the Proactive treatment at night religiously.

Pros:

The best there is out there especially for black skin. Proactive is useless, tried proactive for about a month with no visible improvement. Tried Panoxyl for a week and i started seeing changes

Cons:

Might make your skin dry and flaky, but the flakes goes away in like 3-5 days and the skin under becomes clear.

USE THIS PRODUCT!!!!

Pros:

my skin was clear (Spotless!!!) in 2 days!
it doesnt have any side effects (for me)
it's cheap!

Cons:

i havent experienced any so-far!!

i got the 2.5% one. i really recommend Benzac AC, it has worked really really well with my skin. before Benzac AC i triede more than 6 other products which didnt help at all, i asked my friend and she pointed out Benzac AC. im so greatful that she did!! i doenst burn or dry out my face at all (might be because i've tried more acne treatment) i just put it on 2 a day (am and pm) and i just rinse my face put a little bit of product on my face, rub it in then rinse it out again (eventhough on the packet it says that you have to leave it on for 2 hours, that didnt work for me)

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
