Pros:

i love the smell, very good packaging, works for a few days

Cons:

strips your skin of oil which makes your skin make more oil which makes you break out, agrevates pimples

you really need to try it out and see what it does for you. i used it with the gel wash and for the first few days of using morning and night it seemed to be clearing up but then nothing changed and then it got worse. you really need to try it out yourself and see what it does for you

Pros:

great buy for five dollars I use three times a day 90 pads that equals one month per container so $60 a year for no acne YAY! first time iv'e used pads of any kind THEY ARE SO EASY to apply! and fast!

Cons:

drys out a little, i might try the sensitive it has 0.5% salicylic acid for after showers rather than 2% in maximum. I think its just me,this happened to me during benzoyl peroxide usage but with any non-natural acne treatment i see freckles appearin

I've been using Oxy Cleansing Pads Maximum, it dries out my face a little only when i take a shower and use cleanser before i apply ( really open up my pores before).I was so happy when I picked this up at walmart. I'm not kidding i've used alot of acne things from acne. org to proactive (similar i know ) then alot of natural remedies i love the natural stuff. this stuff really worked for me and i think in about a month i will be acne free!.......nothing works for everybody because every one is differen't. iv'e had acne for about 3 years now and i thought this was just another stupid thing. but it worked! i wish i would of tried it earlier!

Ive been using this for about a week, and i use it EVERY NIGHt, and i leave it on all night long.( I dont recommend that everyone should do this, but i know my skin and i know its limits.) and so far i am LOVING this, i havent gotten ANY pimples at all since i've been using this, which is quite unusual, since i usually would've gotten atleast a small one by now. My acne has been very mild for the last couple of months, and i bought this mainly to treat the left over red marks. I think it's been fading the red marks a bit, but the fact that I havent broken out once yet, and that it leaves my face EXTREMELY soft, and has made my pores basically non existent makes me wanna scream HG!!!! I hope im not jinxing anything by typing this! oh and ps. stop complaining about the smell, it fades in 3 mins.

Pros:

I used to break out very badly on my chest- after taking a shower I rub this into my skin, and since then my breakouts are all gone. This stuff is great.

Cons:

Would not use this on my face. Way too fragrant and made my skin irritated..

Works wonders if you have chest breakouts.. too harsh for face in my opinion

Pros:

This product smells great, and really cleans my skin well. It helps get rid of all the dead skin, because of the microbeads in it, but doesn't clog pores.

Cons:

Difficult for me to find in stores.

I searched long and hard to find a product that worked for my acne. I had mild-moderate, with about 5-10 zits at a time. I use the scrub twice a day, and it has dramatically cleared up the acne, and now I am left with a few pimples here and there, and the red marks left over. Overall, this is a great product. It seems to work for some people more than others, so I would try it...it can't hurt. I love this product!

Pros:

for the FIRST couple times it worked fine.

Cons:

your skin gets used to it...so it stops working.

works great at first, but if you use it everyday for 2 weeks, it doesnt work anymore..at that time it just makes you break out

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
