Pros:

Gets rid of oil
Clears up pimples quickly
Refining Mask is great

Cons:

A little pricey
If used too much, it will dry out your skin

I have oily skin, so I thought Proactiv would be good for me. And it's been great. All my pimples are going away and my scars are becoming less noticable. A lot of people have told me my skin looks a lot better. The cleanser does a good job exfoliating your skin of dead skin cells that clog pores. The toner is alcohol free and helps get rid of oil. The lotion feels great on my skin. It feels refreshed and not tight like other products I have used. And the refining mask does a great job getting rid of pimples fast. It's hands down the best product in the system. I always place a little on a pimple at night and it does heal it faster. If you have oily skin, give proactiv a try. If you have normal or dry skin, stay away from it since it won't work for you. And if you do decide to try it, buy it from your mall's proactiv kiosk or vending machine so you aren't added to their mailing list. I just buy my stuff at the mall. Hope this review helped.

Pros:

Worked consistently great for my 30+ year old skin.

Cons:

I cannot find this anywhere!!! I've looked in all of the major chains and off-the-mainstream chains. The night cream worked the best so I'm hunting for the night cream part.

If you can find it, definitely try it.

Pros:

Prevents Acne , Helps smooth out skin , Gives a good texture to skin.
i will first tell abou my past: i had acne since i was 17 and i am 26 now. I have been battling acne since then and i know how it feels if you have pimples occurring anytime any

Cons:

Can Dry Out Skin Initially , Can be negative on Pimples and enlarge them , Can Cause skin to turn red. There is no 1 fixed way to use this product.u have to find ur own way depending on how ur skin reacts to it and the quantity as well.

I wanted to write a review only when i thought i have used this product for a good time before i write a review although i started getting results in the first week itself. This is the best product i have ever used and better than what any doctor can do provided you use it the right way. i hope my tips help those who have tried it didnt find it useful. the things i noticed whie using this are: 1) I dont use it on pimples , it seems to enlarge your pimples instead of clearing them . So what do i do ? i use a face pack first like given by proactiv or any other face pack used for pimples. then i use the treatment on the left out areas. after 5-10 mins i use the moisturizer. Initially for the first 2 months my skin used to turn little red , become dry . i then stopped using it twice a day and now i use it once a day at night with moisturiser in the morning and never use it on pimples. This has helped me change my life in many ways.hasreduced the occurec of pimples by 9

Pros:

Really clears blemishes before they become inflamed, without needing to use a great deal of the product. Particularly fantastic on cystic blemishes.

Cons:

Can't buy just the cream, even though I no longer use the pills, having no need for them.

I have been using this product for several years and wish I'd had it available 30 years ago, when I had consistent problems with cystic (under the skin) blemishes. This eradicates the blemish BEFORE it gets to the surface in a day or two max. I rarely find the need now, but my elderly mother gets occasional blemishes on her nose and this has been of enormous help. I always make sure I have a tube on hand and apply it as soon as I feel a hard blemish begin. In a day, it's gone. Best product ever!

ok i didnt enjoy the cleanser or the spf lotion but the benzolz peroxide works AMAZING! but u cant put it all over ur face its more a spot treatment, i only use it on my for-head and it keeps me clear and its getting rid of my red marks, i recently ran out of it and now my forhead looks like sh*t!

Pros:

Doesn't smell bad, dries up pimples pretty quickly.

Cons:

Sometimes takes a while for bigger pimples.

Acnefree is good, I've used it for two years, but I find that if I discontinue my usage I break out immediately. Otherwise, it's been a lifesaver.

Pros:

natural, no flaking, WORKS! i prefer the kick @ass teen formula though i am way past being a teen.

Cons:

you do need to rinse carefully and i;d suggest drying your face with an old towel, because the bp will mess with fabric dyes.

best face wash.

Pros:

It works really well and dries out zits, and after the first use it cleared all my large zits. I now have very little acne left that is pretty much flat and just a little red.

Cons:

it can dry out skin, but it didn't happen on me too much because my skin isn't sensitive. just buy moisturizer and it'll be fine(:

This stuff is AMAZING, it'll clear up your skin and you'll see improvement from the 1st use.

Pros:

cleared up skin for a while...

Cons:

left skin dry and flaky, often itchy and made me want to scratch my whole face off!! also made zits only disappaer but same ones would reappear in the same spot even worse and bigger than before

I liked using it when I stated but noticed that all it was doing was fading my zits away for a while but then they would appear again in the same spot, it wasnt clearing up my skin I thought it was just hiding my zits....not fun and not good!!

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
