Pros:

Works quickly
Significantly reduced my acne scars
Reduced breakouts
Made my skin feel smooth and clean

Cons:

Drys out skin, so use lots of the lotion
Strong chemical smell
Slight burning sensation, but it eventually goes away

I love this stuff. I wanted something that would get rid of my acne scars, not just prevent breakouts. It definitely worked for me. As with any acne treatment, I had to be patient and strictly stick to the regimen, but I started seeing results after about 2 weeks. I got lots of compliments on how much better my skin looked.

Pros:

works fast
good as prevention and treatment
right dose

Cons:

dry irritated skin

I have spent hundreds of dollars on acne products untill my dermatiologist gave me BP presciption since then it has been a constant. Salicylic acid products do not work on my acne as effieciently as BP. for treating the acne scars i dab them with a paste of lime juice , tumeric and sandal withing 2 days the scars are almost gone. ALso the tea tree blemish treatment from Body shop is amazing in fading the old scars. Also i do not apply the BP on my whole face instead apply only in the areas where i get most breakouts. For face wash i use neutrogena's natural purifying facial cleansers and my face have been all clear for months now!

Pros:

good quality BP
%- just the right dose

Cons:

expensive
can only be purchased online

I really enjoy this product and have been using it for a few weeks now. I do not apply as much as Dan suggests in his videos because my skin becomes very dry and cracked. I apply about a dime amount onto the palm of my hand and it on my forehead, cheeks, nose and chin. I rub in and violaaa! my skin feels a little tight after applying this but in the morning my pimples are under control and less red.

Pros:

works well
keeps acne at bay
non irritating

Cons:

may make red marks seem darker or heal slower
can be drying if your using too much

i really like this as a maintence treatment to keep my face clear, i use a pea sized amounts dab each on my cheeks forehead(occasionally) and bottom jawline area. using this smaller amount i find it to be non irritating and effective. I would start off with very little and let it adjust to your skin when first starting off with this. ALSO alwayyyyysss replace after 6 months the texture will start to get more liquidy when its losing its effectiveness and you may get a little more acne if you dont replace after that time, other than that its a great product.

Pros:

EVERYTHING!! It actually works, cleared my acne like nothing else, works fast, keeps acne away, not as expensive as other treatments

Cons:

Drying but moisturizer helps this

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PRODUCT!! Ive had acne for 7 years and I've tried everything, description pills, birth control, prescription creams, over the counter creams and nothing has worked like this! And it worked fast! Definitely reccomend it! Please try it! I was hesitant to try it because it was just another cream from the drugstore but I seen it working for my sister and had to try it for myself. LOVE IT!

Product used: The Regimen

Pros:

Works quickly.
Clears skin!

Cons:

Somewhat time-consuming
Bleaches hair and towels (Just use white wash-cloths!)

I started using the regimen with drugstore products and when it worked pretty well, I bought the Treatment from acne.org because it's a far better value. I use Clean & Clear to wash, the Treatment for BP and Cetaphil with a drop of jojoba oil for moisturizer. I had been suffering from moderate adult acne and was getting really fed up with it! I am so happy now that I don't have ANY zits and haven't for a long time. It really works if you follow the steps just right!

Pros:

none

Cons:

too many to list.

This is THE worst product company I've ever dealt with. They opened two accounts under my name, gave me hell about the debts, kept sending me sh*t I DID NOT ASK FOR. I called to cancel and 2 years after canceling my account I am still dealing with their stupid fees. I am beyond frustrated. I am NEVER returning to this company. The product is way over priced. If you want medication that works just go to your local dermatologist and procure a prescription.

Pros:

Thought it worked at first
Positive reviews give you hope

Cons:

Broke me out very badly
Drying
Odd smell

I would not recommend this product. I bought it based on the many positive reviews (I always do thorough research), gave it a shot for a few months and was completely disappointed with the results. While using it, I began to breakout along my jawline and neck - places I'd never broken out on in my life, which have left scars.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
