Pros:

It helps perevent Future breakouts

Cons:

I got more pimples after using proactiv, but while when i was using it left off with blemishes and scars..

I think its worth it if you keep on using it for more than a month and so on for the people who got marks and pimples on their faces. PROACTIV solution is an ok acne treatment..I didnt see the changes on me like within 3 weeks..It took me more than 3-4 weeks...After i was left off with marks and i also used the refining mask for fast improvement...Since i have more acne ive been using the 4 pieces..Keep trying it!! You would have Clear and beautiful skin.

Pros:

Easy to use

Cons:

Dried up my skin and gave me a rash on my face and neck.

Apparenly this is working for other people, but it gave me an unsightly rash and dried up my skin something fierce.

Pros:

Smells nice, the day lotion is nice.

Cons:

I've been using this for 3 weeks and have not seen an improvement. I'm actually breaking out on my cheeks now, which has never happened before I used this product.

Didn't work for me.

Pros:

goes on clear. odorless. alot of product for a little price(very economical)

Cons:

excessive drying

ive been suffering from moderate acne for 5 or 6 years and only been using this product for 5 days and my skin i practically clear except for a few blemishes. The first couple of days it accually made my existing pimple to break out more but in the last 3 days i havent had a new pimple pop up. It did over dry my skin but i just had to apply a good moisturizer.

Pros:

MY FACE LOOKS GREAT

Cons:

a little drying

I don't know how long these results will last, but as for right now my face looks a lot better. Only a few zits left. MAKE SURE YOU USE A MOISTURIZER WITH SUNBLOCK.

Pros:

Vegan, makes skin feel like satin, not costly (a bottle lasts me 3+months/used only on face), free natural Shea butter soap with each order(this soap seriously deserves an award),gets rid of acne and blackheads.

Cons:

Nothing is a miracle. I still get a zit here and there.

I have used all the products for acne that you can think of (except for Accutane). My acne has always been mild (cystic, whiteheads and blackheads). I have never found a product that works so well. You need to allow 3 months for full results (as per Clear and Smooth owner). I broke out for the first 3-4 weeks and then my skin calmed down and has never looked better. The thing I noticed the most is how soft my skin is. It's shiny, smooth yet not oily (and I always had oily skin). The owner (Steve) personally answers e-mails which I find pretty cool. I was thinking of trying the teen Clear and Smooth and he responded very quickly with some advice. This product is not perfect. It is however, the most perfect product that I have ever tried. For the cheap price and 100% guaranteed refund+ shipping refund, you do not have much to lose by trying it.

Pros:

It has a good smell, the cleanser makes you skin really soft and makes you feel really clean.

Cons:

The night cream makes you skin a pretty dry, the moisturizer makes you skin oily. It stopped working for me after like a week and my face went back to where it started...horrible.

Try it if you have light acne and make sure you don't have dry skin or really oily skin because the night cream will turn your skin into bread crumbs or the moisturizer will fill your face with oil.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
