BE PATIENT!

Please read this if you are giving up on the regimen!!! This product has honestly changed my life, After battling with cystic acne for 6 years and visiting the doctors around 10+ times regarding my skin issues, I believed this was going to be with me forever. A nine month round of antibiotics cleared my acne extremely well until I finished and the pimples returned, albeit not quite as terrible as before. I had tried Dan?s regimen earlier in 2018 but gave up after experiencing a horrid breakout during exams (caused mainly by stress I think). In February 2019 my acne started to come back, and I turned again to the regimen for a second attempt. The first 3 months were awful. My skin was red, flaking and irritated. I developed eczema on my neck and jawline and I couldn?t smile without it cracking and peeling off. Considering I was at uni and wanted to go out with friends and have fun it was the worst timing ever. After seeing absolutely ZERO improvement after month 3 was over I emailed the acne.org support team as a final attempt to restore hope and motivation to continue the regime. They replied telling me if I kept going I would experience clear skin, so I stuck at it. I kid you not, by the end of month 4 my skin was 85% clear. When I did have a pimple, it was no longer cystic, just a slightly inflamed clogged pore. Now in month 6/7, I have never been so happy with my skin. The irritation is gone and I am 90% clear or active acne. It would be dishonest if I said I never get acne...I probably get one tiny pimple a week and 3-4 medium sized pimples a month but overall this regimen has worked literal miracles on my face. My advice is to not give up even if you?re months in!! I was so disheartened when I saw people?s great results after a matter of weeks. All our skin is different and some just take longer than others. Trust the process!!

Good products but non suitable packaging

My box arrived crushed, the products had opened and poured into the box. So I had less product and it was disappointing. The containers should be more suitable, especially for international transport. Otherwise I used this kit for 1 month and I was surprised at its effectiveness I would recommend it!

Too much too soon

This is my first time using the acne.org products. I have suffered from adult acne and cystic acne with a lot of hyperpigmentation.  I have spent hundreds of dollars looking for the right skin products and countless of hours at the dermatologist and nothing seemed to work for me.  I have watched how these products transformed my daughter's skin and it gave me skin envy.

Now when i ordered the products i had every intention to follow the instructions and wait for my turn for skin envy.  Anyway I started using too much of the benzoyl peroxide too early in my regimen an my skin was not happy, not happy at all.  It became very dry, flaky, and lots and lots of peeling.  I looked a mess! but i reduced my usage for a few days to weeks and added 6-8 drops of jojoba oil to the moisturizer every morning and evening which left me a lil greasy during the day but it was all worth it.  Now my skin is under control and I can really see the difference, fewer pimples and when one does show up it doesn't last long. I still have a ways to go but I'm will on my way and after using this product for a month I'm starting to see and feel the difference over all.

My advise follow the instructions to the tee don't rush the process or it will take even longer.

Works amazing for me!

Hi all! I don't usually write reviews but I know the bane of trying to find honest reviews, especially when trying to cure our face. So I am going to be as accurate as possible!

For years, I tried most stuff for my face (products to natural ingredients) and found a routine that finally works for my face after 2 years of really bad acne. So, I  thought of sharing.

When I got this kit, I used it diligently. I usually leave the foam on my face for 2 minutes before washing it off.

Then I dab about 2 pumps of the toner and wipe my face with it.

For daytime, I use Clinique moisturiser (but honestly there are better ones out there, I rate the moisturiser 3/5). It does work well when I am putting makeup though.

At night, I'll use a "heavier" moisturiser since the toner can be a little drying for the face. I like to add a pump of argan oil for extra moisturising effect.

I don't usually use the toner every day, instead I alternate every 2-3 days. But I definitely used the cleanser everyday.

My face has improved tremendously. I hardly get breakouts (especially on period) and on occasions, pimples do appear but they go away really quickly.

I really recommend people trying this kit to help our faces get better. Highly recommended! For those going through the process of finding your routine, don't give up. I know it's tough but it will get better, I promise :)

improvement noticed

i started using this product 3 weeks ago. just the treatment and i have seen sinificant changes though my acne keeps coming back. especially around my chin and jaw line. at least the pimples dry faster which is a good thing but i dnt know why i keep getting newer breakouts. the skin around my eyes can not stand the benzoyl. it makes it look ages older and all wrinkly. so when i apply the benzoyl, i try as much as possible to avoid areas around my eyes and neck. otherwise, am still hopeful it will work for me too and completely eliminate the jaw line acne too.

Love some products, not others.
I really like the foaming facial cleanser and toner. They last a very long time (which is good for the high price). But definitely didn't like the moisturiser and had to change that for something else. Would choose the foaming facial cleaner over the 'new' cleansing gel any day. Facial cleanser and toner I've been using as my main solution for a few years now, and can say they never irritated my skin like most products did, plus keeping down the spots.

Need patience
Great product, but definitely need to be patient to see the result. I've used the entire regiment 2 years ago when I first started breaking out, it worked like a miracle, my skin didn't react badly to it at all, this was exactly what my skin needed. I got off the regimen after nearly a year bc my skin was cleared and I was trying to find other alternatives since this product is only sold in US and shipping was too expensive. But I started having little breakouts again but nowhere near what it was before. Until recently, my skin started breaking out again. WORST THAN EVER!! I went on the pill but it wasn't helping, so I decided to go back to what saved my face 2 years ago, the acne.org regimen. But unlike last time, I had a really rough start this time. My skin was reacting badly to the benzoyl peroxide. My left cheek area which is right under my eye started getting red, irritated and incredibly itchy. It started to have a texture, felt like all my cells were dried up. Even though I was draining my face in moisturizer and serums nothing seemed to be helping the dry rash looking patches I had on my face. It was painful and ugly. But I decided to push through. Now I'm on my 4th week of the regimen. My skin is clearing up and the dry patches I had are slowing disappearing. If you are going through the same problem. Here are some tips. 1. Avoid putting too much benzoyl peroxide on irritated areas because that area probably needs longer time and slower rate to adjust to the benzoyl peroxide. 2. DO NOT SCRATCH, I know it can be really itchy and irritable but trust me, scratching is only going to make it more irritated and might leave you with scars. 3. I used Bio-Oil to help my skin to get back that even texture and it also helps a lot with red acne marks, it was too oily for me before I went on the regimen and it would break me out, but now it works amazing on my skin. 4. I never really liked the acne.org moisturizer, it wasn't moisturizing enough and it was too harsh for my skin, I would get burning sensation when I use this after applying benzoyl peroxide, I found the best moisturizer while on Benzoyl Peroxide and that is Full Of Grace Serum Bar from Lush. It is the best thing!! It is so moisturizing without irritating your skin and leaving your skin glowing and hydrated. Good Luck on your acne journey, you are NOT alone.

Mostly Great
Keeps my hormonal acne at bay for the most part. I get bad breakouts a few times a year. Probably because the season changes or something. But it's the only thing strong enough to mostly keep it at bay.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
