holy grail
This line is incredible. After dealing with stubborn breakouts for months, trying product after product with zero results this is the only thing that has improved my skin. Initially I was using it twice per day, but I found it too drying so I went down to once a day and my skin seems to be happy. After 6 weeks of use, I currently have almost no active acne. I cannot say enough great things about this line!

Brilliant well worth the expense- but drying in the long term
this is the only over the counter skincare system that has ever actually worked! It's totally different to everything else out there, & you can feel it working from the first use. It started too dramatically clear my severe and persistent acne within a week, and I was 90% clear within a month and a half. It's only downsides are that once my skin was cleared and I still kept using it as maintenance, it really dried out my skin and made it very red. So I'd recommend just using it once a week once you get to that point as a maintenance thing. There's also the cost point. It's about €78 for the whole system (and you need the whole system) so that's a bit inaccessible for many, but I assure you, it's the best money I ever spent, and wished I'd tried it years ago.

POST OF SHAME
I was excited to use this product as I am a teenager and have lots of acne. It was $141 for goodness sake so it better work, right? WRONG! This product burned when I applied every step of it, except the last which felt like I was rubbing chalk on my face, not pleasant. I thought it was just that I was feeling it work, but a few weeks went by and it still felt like that, but it gets worse. My skin was dry and peeling, It felt like my face was leather in some areas and was cracking and peeling in others, and on top of that my acne was the SAME as it had been before the treatment! I thought that maybe my using it once a day was too much. So I only used it a few times a week. Same results on the acne, but the cracking and peeling level went down a bit. But I had dead skin that was peeling off in my eyebrows, and everything hurt REALLY bad. If you are a teenage girl with acne, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT spend your $141 on this crap. It is awful, awful. If you are looking for good product to use for less, look at my review for Murad it's called "THIS STUFF IS MAGIC". I hope my review was helpful!

Amazing
I love this product! I had been using proactiv and it was working but it was drying out my skin. (Not good!) So I switched to this product and it really works! The only down side is the burning sensation. If you need acne gone fast this is great! My acne was better after my first use!

Works well!!

Pros:

Lessens the pimple in size
Gets rid of the oil in the pimple

Cons:

Has left white stains on my pillow case and some shirts!
Takes a long time to dry
Isn't 100% effective

I have combination skin, so my cheeks can feel dry while my chin nose and forehead got oily. 90% of the time the breakouts were on my chin, so I would put a little on the cream on my pimple before going to bed and in the morning wash if off( dries as a white, flaky circle). This is really good to have in case of emergency with a really oily pimple because it really dries it up! Do NOT spread it all over your face or layer it onto your acne, simply dot it on each individual pimple because it WILL dry and irritate your skin a LOT!

Not for long run

Pros:

no acne

Cons:

no acne ONLY while using it
your skin never gets a break from all the chemicals
just a short time solution

First of all I want to say, I've been dealing with acne for most of my teen years (I'm 24 now)...since I was 15.....I had REALLY bad acne, so I know how it feels not to want to leave the house and crying in the bathroom over this problem. At 18 I used a product similar to this regiment...helped me a lot....cleared my face 85%...I was really pleased. But acne came back WHEN I STOPPED using it. Cca 2 years (maybe 2.5 ) ago I tried The regiment, my cousin was using it so she ordered some for me to. Same as everybody, redness, itchiness, flaking, and in the end no acne. But when I STOPPED USING, it came back. So, in terms of "does it work", yes, this product DOES get you rid of acne. It's a hard chemical that kills everything on your skin...so it kills bacteria and acne too. So if you want to get rid of acne, sure, this product will help you. BUT... Not good for a long run. Sure it's great to have selfesteem and great skin after using The regiment, but consider the fact that you are putting a harsh chemical on your skin everyday..while in the same time trying to help your skin by using lots of moisturizer. It's like killing a person and then bringing him back to life over and over. And when you stop using it, the acne WILL come back ( lots of people who RECCOMEND this product here also say the same, it comes back ). So you need to ALWAYS be using it. You can't live without it if you want nice skin. So basically, you didn't do anything with this. You didn't cure the problem, your masking it for a while. And to use this chemical everyday for years...boy...i don't wanna know what your skin is gonna look like when you youngsters turn like 30-40.... And me....I completely changed the way I eat. I eat much more fruit and vegetables, occasionally take some vitamins, dink A LOOOOOT of water, work out....and my skin....it's sooo beautiful. It took me a while by doing all this things but it was worth it. I get a few pimples around my period but the go away when that's over. So consider whats good for your skin not just in the moment but for the time to come. Good luck to ya ;)

You must try this for those with terrible acne!

Pros:

Clean skin in a few days!

Cons:

Dry and itchyness but will get rid of ur acne

Okay so I got this product because it's cheaper than the other stuff. Also I have bad acne and I wanted to try something new. The first night I tried this it really opened up my pores. You will notice some white film that is hard to wash off but don't scrub on it. Just gently wash it off with lukewarm water. Then take a soft towel and just "pat" dry. Don't scrub or dry your face harshly because this stuff does make your face red. So wash your face at night and put a non oil moisturizer on afterwards. Your face will feel dry but dont worry it will get rid of your acne. Do this at night so that you wont have a red face in the morning. When you wake up in the morning dont wash your face again because this product is very strong. Just put moisturizer on again. The next morning I woke up with almost gone acne. Repeat this every night. You will end up with clean skin in a few days. Trust me this works.

Pros:

Works

Cons:

hard to find at stores
can over dry skin

This has worked for me for roughly 5 years. I put it on with big globs like a facial mask. It burns pretty bad and will peel my skin but it just kills the acne, I usually put it on in the after noon or at night and in the morning i put on a good moiturizer. I do this about once a week for 3 days. Great product, im surprised its not more popular

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
