Pros:

None

Cons:

It didn't work for me, it actually gave me acne. It was quite a bit expensive also.

I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. I did use this product for a week, says on the box "Clearer skin in just days". I went back to what I was using and my acne started clearing up, those products together were under $15.

Pros:

Cleared up skin right away at first.

Cons:

Began to consistently have bumps that were just occasionally appearing when I started using the product. Also cause me to have a rash around my mouth and dried out my skin pretty badly.

It works great the first week or two, but then the effectiveness wears off. If you don't have severe acne or just want a quick fix, use it. If you don't want to continue to have acne, don't use it.

Pros:

Pills taste nice and the package labels AM & PM pills - very easy to keep track.

Cons:

Very drying. The cream is supposed to work on the small 'bumps' but doesn't.

This package comes with 60 oral pills and a tube of 'vanishing cream'. I've been taking them for exactly two weeks and see a slight improvement, however the past few days I discovered two large zits deep beneath the surface of my skin emerging. I find that the skin on my cheeks and neck have gotten very dry. I can't tell yet if it's working/if it will work. It's an easy routine to do though and I've noticed that new deep pimples do not appear as often as they were before I started. Then again, it could just be a coincidence.

Pros:

My skin has cleared up significantly since using it for three weeks now. I am getting fewer breakouts whereas before new pimples would appear almost on a daily basis. I even
tried proactive but with no results.

Cons:

Dried up my skin at first but heres my secret: I apply aloe vera after the bp. I find it keeps my skin soft and even speeds up the healing process. The first two weeks, i experienced bad breakouts but i continued with it and so glad i didnt stop.

Try it for yourself as everybody will react differently to it. Its affordable and an easy regimen to follow.

Pros:

ive used acnefree for a week now and i absolutly love it. its clearing up my skin really well, well enough to bother to write a review on it. it doesnt work super super fast like in 3 days but it does work. my skin is sooo smooth now. trust me.

Cons:

It does dry out my skin a little probably cause i use it more then twice a day sometimes since ive only had acnefree for a week and i want to get rid of previous acne as soon as i can. but its nothing moisturizer cant fix.

i LOVE it. ive used everything. proactiv, skin iD, clearasil, all those other drug store acne kits like lotions, scrubs, liquid ect. but acnefree is by far the best one. since ive used it my before acne is going away and i havnt had anything new pop up. all i can say is that it does work for me and it might work for you, besides its relativly cheap for being so convienient unlike other products like proactiv.

Pros:

works well. i noticed improvment after the first time i used it. i also use the oxy pads the opposite time of day that i use the face wash.

Cons:

makes skin a little dry. the smell isnt the best.

it really works. ive tried manyyy different brands and types and nothing really worked until now. they also have a spot treatment and im gonna buy it next time i go to the store. its veryyy cheap as well.

Pros:

Keeps my face completely clear. I have to use it at a half dose in order to keep my skin from peeling, however it keeps me 100% clear. Clears all kinds of zits, minimized blackheads, and improved overall quality of skin tone.

Cons:

Can cause dryness, not sold in stores.

This is easily the most effective benzoyl peroxide I've ever used.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
