Pros:

Makes Skin Feel Smooth&Reduces Acne Quickly.

Cons:

Tends To Dry Out The Face A Little, But A Good Moisturizer Should Do The Trick!(I Recommend; St.Ives Mineral Therapy)

The Product Is Great, But I Use The Clean&Clear Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub First, For A Deeper And Stronger Cleaning! Overall, Awesome Product!

Pros:

It works! No smell. Nice consistency.

Cons:

Dries out skin. I still get the occasional pimple.

I've been using this for over a year now, its the only thing that consistently works to keep me breakout free! I don't use the other acne.org products, I use AcneFree face wash and Olay Complete SPF 15 moisturizer. This is the best combination I've found, and its been working for me for about 5 months now. Only thing about this...it doesn't really stop drying out my skin. If I apply a tad bit too much, I get flaky skin out of the blue. And winter time is flake city around my eyebrows and mouth.

Pros:

works a little

Cons:

They are the cons full of false advertising terrible customer service refund full of CRAP YOU WAIT SIX WEEKS expecting a refund after they charge for shipping in handling for in my case a package i didnt want.didnt get full refund

if you have the money and time purchase but beware of small print ask lots of question regarding payment and shipping understand the they do charge shipping and handling and you will pay and will not get money back its not worth it

Pros:

Easy to use, tasteless, Affordable, Works, clears skin within weeks, by using it longer, literally, your skin texture will be clearer and smoother.

Cons:

I don't like the cream. I just toss it out. It burns my eyes and gets watery. My cheeks get itchy the next day even though I put it say on my forehead.

It's a great, affordable method to help get rid of acne. It really works. I'm not even kidding. I use to have like pimples and breakout before my period. By the time it starts to heal, I get my period again. So basically, my face is NEVER clear. I've been using this for like 2 years. I get occasional zits like one-two. That's it! Majority of the time, my face is clear and smooth. I truly love this product. No girl should be insecure about her skin. I was one, I use to cover it up with foundation and thick concealer. Now I am soo happy that I can wear mineral makeup and wear a thin layer and that's it. Try it!!!

Pros:

Didn't irritate my skin like others have said.

Cons:

Worked as well ast the next product :(

Every time I use a new skin care line it works for mabye a week..then just goes right back to how my skin was. The thing is I DON'T have that bad of acne like they show in the commericials! I have uneven skin and this product just did not fix it. If I wore makeup I looked fine for a while, but definely not like they commercials have said. And I've tried it TWICE. Once as a freshman in highschool and again as a senior. I'll probably buy it agian since I like to switch it up every few months and its only $20 which is how much I'd be paying for a whole new line of products.

Pros:

Easy to use. Cleared me up A LITTLE BIT.

Cons:

Only worked for about a week then it just stopped working.

It helped with really, really small pimples. But it did not help clear my face. It worked for about a week then it seemed to just stop working... I SUGGEST YOU USE EITHER THE ACNE.ORG REGIMEN OR THE WEXLER ANTI-ACNE STARTER KIT.

Pros:

It dries out your pimples , specially the red ones, it kills bacteria as claimed.

Cons:

It dries your skin severely, it leaves very red spot. After one month and a half i have black scars left from this product.

I never had that much acne, since i was exfoliating with the st ives scrub. After i few blemishes 3 i used this. It made my life a living hell. My 3 pimples got dried out. But i was left with 3 big horrible scars.

Pros:

got rid of my few blemishes, gave me soft and smooth skin

Cons:

dryyyyyy skin, like SUPERRR DRY! my face was literally cracking apart...their repairing lotion is far from a moisturizer...i stopped using proactive for 2 weeks and got my pimples back :(

Kind of pricey, however it does give me that blemish-free skin i desire. Although, a good oil-free moisturizer is essential. The benzoyl peroxide really dries out the skin.

Pros:

Works well, especially the refining mask. easy to use.

Cons:

skin is terrible if you go off of it, price is high

Great product if ou can commit to it, but the price is high and the kits are annoying. why can't items be sold seperately? also your skin returns to normal (ie-BAD) as soon as you quit using it, which sucks.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
