Pros:

Works extremely fast even just washing your face once a day will make a huge difference. Nice smell and feels great on your face. Highly recommended for moderate + acne.

Cons:

Will dry out face if used too much. Start with once a day applications. Then progress to two a day. I didn't use the spot treatment until day 4 and I'm fine. No flakes! A little bit goes a long way!

After 10 years of trying different products to clear up my acne (Proactiv, Clearasil, Neutrogena, Noxema, Tetracyclean, Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo, Retin-A and many more) the only thing that has helped me is Clean and Clear Advantage. This stuff is very powerful. Since the first use I haven't had a single breakout which is very rare for me. I woke up this morning and looked at my face almost completely blemish free. It actually made me tear up because I haven't seen that in 10 years. Just $20 for the Cleanser, Moisterizer, and Spot treatment. Or you can buy them seperately.

Pros:

The original formula was great. I always relied on it.

Cons:

I can't find the original (the one without the actives or whatever that crap is. It is crap) I want the original back.

Can't find it. Can anyone help me find the original that not only smelled great but worked great. The newer one feels sick.

Pros:

LOVED this product ... started using it in college (had moderate acne) and it helped my break-out skin immediately (still have light acne)! When I do get my hands on this product and use it, it helps greatly!

Cons:

discontinued and I am very, very sad.
BRING IT BACK, PLS!

Went to Turkey on vacation and FOUND IT over there! In new packaging and what not... immediately bought some for even cheaper than when it was in the states!

Pros:

Within a week it cleared up an area that I have been fighting with for years!!! My whole face seems clearer and healthier. Blackheads on my chin that I thought would be there forever, because my mom has them, are gone!!!

Cons:

Skin seemed to "purge" itself for a couple days, but it's cleared up now and seems to get better every time I use it. Microbeads tend to hang on when I wash in the sink, so I use it in the shower and it gets them all off.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product. Had tried everything, including homeopathic remedies, on the area between my eyebrows for at least 5 years. NOTHING had worked!! This has cleared it up better than anything else ever has. It's almost completely gone!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

Pros:

this moisturizer made my skin litterally silky smooth! I use it eveyday and it really does tone, and makes your skin glow, i had people come up to me and were like "woah your skin looks really good, it's looks really soft!"

Cons:

I don't really have any cons, it is natural so it takes a little longer to get rid of acne than it would using an overnight on the spot thing but in the longrun it really works well. IT can be pricey depending on where you buy it.

I have tried MANY moisturizers and this one works the best. You can even use it as a mask, if you want your skin to look really good the next day, put a thick layer on your face before you go to bed and in the morning your skin will look amazing and gorgeous. or you can put a thick layer on your face adn wash it off after 15 mintues. yeah i know your thinking that will make your skin too oily, and greasy, but believe me i use it as a mask almost daily and my skin has never looked greater. actaully the more the better. THE BOTTOM LINE?? USE IT! IT IS BOMBBERRRRR it get's rid of acne and makes it less noticible by toning out your complexion so it isnt red or discolored and makes it radiant! my skin is now FLAWLESS and you take my advice? i almost guarantee you will thank me for reading this.

Pros:

Helped calm down redness and overall size of acne, kept it smooth

Cons:

Dries out skin, had to use a moisturizer with it
Had an allergic reaction to the product after a week, rash bumps

I have combination skin, and the product did work well at reducing redness and size of acne, but it never completely got rid of it, even after a month. Also, it claims to be "hypoallergenic", yet I still managed to get a rash from something in the product. Bottom line is, it's not really worth buying. It doesn't get rid of acne, and it may have allergens in it.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
