Pros:

I went with my friend to go buy this, I started using it for a week and then I asked if my skin looked any different. She said it did, so I guess that's an improvement.

Cons:

After when I rinsed my face and patted my face with towel. I have sensitive skin. SO IT STARTS BURNING AND IT HURTS TO SMILE! My skin feels dry and irritated. But I use vaseline or a moisturizer after so it doesn't hurt that much.

It's okay, I wouldn't reccomend to anybody since I haven't been using it for quite that long yet.

Pros:

Smells great, cuts down grease without washing. Made a big difference in my conjunction with creams from my dermatologist

Cons:

It's pretty pricey. I also go through phases where it doesn't work as well. The greasy feeling comes back after a while though.

I really enjoy using the cream as a midday pick up. Has helped me make the jump from "teenager" skin in my 20s to an occasional break out.

Pros:

this product does even out skin tone and makes skin smooth and lessens redness. my face stays supple the whole day and my oily skin isn't a problem combined with the moisture.

Cons:

it is kind of expensive and it doesn't even cure acne bumps.

if you want less noticeable acne and an even skin tone you should definitely try this.

Pros:

- smell & packaging
- leaves skin soft & smooth after use
- GREAT exfloiater

Cons:

- doesn't get rid of ance
- doesn't get rid of most blackheads

I have alot of deep blackheads & big pores. I used this with my clinque 3-step skin care program & i used this before my wash. It left my skin feeling great & smooth. Unfortunely, it didn't clear up my acne or blackheads. A few like 2-3 blackheads are gone, but I have ALOT like more than 20 probably blackheads on my nose, cheeks, chin, & forhead. I recommend it to people with light blackheads, not people like me with a lot of acne & deep blackheads.

Pros:

Clears up skin quickly. Reduces amount of acne significantly.

Cons:

I wouldn't say it prevents acne.. but once acne starts to form, OXY pads clears it up very quickly.

If you're looking for something to just clean your skin and reduce the appearance of acne, it's an excellent product. However, I wouldn't rely on it for prevention of acne. Good value for the money and works miracles for me.

Cleared up most acne within a few days

Cons:

After a while, it didn't seem to work as well as it did in the beginning.

I have tried a few different acne spot treatment things and so far this worked the best for me.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
