Pros:

Makes my skin feel very soft after use.
Skin started to tone altogether after a few uses.
Not a bad smell.

Cons:

None

I've been using this product for a few days and I already notice a slight difference in my skin tone. It looks like it's slowly but surely coming all together. Then again, I've only been using it for a few days so we'll see. Overall, good product. I also use the Aveeno "Positively Radiant" moisturizer with SPF. Also another product I definitely recommend.

Pros:

-cleared my skin up (right away)
-didn't burn (like most oil-clearing creams do
-reduced redness :)
-made spots vanish!!!!

Cons:

-none, except maybe the price, but my mom works in a pharmacy (where this is sold) so it was fine :) definetely worth it though!

I am a teenager with oily skin, so this line from La Roche-Posay is fantastic! It works so well! I have tried many many products from LRP, and ALL of them have worked for me! This cleared up the oil on my t-zone, unclogged my pores, and really really makes my skin look better after using it!!!!! i swear after putting it on for the first time, my skin looked clearer, less red, and i had less spots!!! LOVE THIS!!! I definetly recommend this!!!!

Pros:

Leaves skin feeling smooth and clean. Gentle on your skin. Effective if you have oily skin. Skin feels calmer and not as irritated. Smells fresh and i liked the lime green color. Nice packaging

Cons:

None so far

I like this product. It is simple enough to just cleanse my skin while depositing some salycic acid into my skin that helped the turnover of old skin cells. I am pleased :)

Pros:

-doesn't make acne worse
-very light
-tingly, in a refreshing way

Cons:

-doesn't make acne better
-isn't good for very dry skin
-no spf

This is one of the few moisturizers I've found that doesn't feel heavy or cause me to break out. It works well under make up. I wouldn't recommend this for a winter moisturizer. It won't help if your skin is even moderately dry. I love it during the warmer months when my skin gets oily, but it doesn't offer any protection from the sun. That's something to keep in mind.

Pros:

-worked for a while
-cleared pimples

Cons:

After a while of using it, it stopped working and instead of clearing my acne, it simply replaced them. Like, I would have a pimple by my hair line and after i used the scrub, that pimple would go away but i would get another one somewhere else.

It's alright if you're looking for temporary relief. But, it still worked pretty good(:

Pros:

Cleanser made my skin feel soft andsmooth, natural plant ingredients, helped somewhat with acne but not the total cure

Cons:

The acne pads are a bit harsh, the lotion was making my skin dry so i mixed it together with another hydrating lotion (the spf 15 toumaline charged protecting lotion) and got much better results

I do not think you need to use all the products together, actually using all of them together every day and night made my skin dry. I love the cleanser and use that on a daily basis, but the pads i only use 3-4x a week when my skin gets a bit oily. The lotions work better when mixed. If it is too expensive for you to get all of the products, I would go with the cleanser and lotion.

Pros:

Good smell
Makes my skin feel soft
Cooling sensation

Cons:

Doesn't moisturize that well
Made my face break out

Overall, it made my face break out in whiteheads especially around my nose area. I have very sensitive skin and so this product wasn't such a great idea. DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN.

Pros:

Cleans well; removes foundation if you double cleanse; feels fresh; smells great; clears acne better than more expensive products

Cons:

Too harsh to use around eyes; should probably be used after removing makeup

I love this product, though I must say I dislike having to remove my makeup with cleansing towelettes before I even wash my face. Despite not removing makeup in one easy washing, this product does clean my skin well and leaves it feeling fresh but not tight. It smells, to me, like eucalyptus, which is great because I'm used to menthol-y washes smelling like generic mint. My face is very prone to redness and sensitivity, but this doesn't seem to cause any excess irritation, which is a major plus for someone used to using unscented washes. I really recommend this; I get pimples, but my biggest problem is tons of clogged pores, and this works for me.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
