Pros:

It does its jod and fast! I just put it on for as much time as i want, because if you only put in on for 2-3 minutes a day like it tells you it wont work because itll way too long,so leave it on over night if you wanna. It wont make your face red.

Cons:

The smell doesnt bother me at all! I find it relaxing, like at the spa,but idk,you might find it awfull, because thats what some people say,but NO CONS for me.

It doesnt have any sideaffects and is easy to use, just wash your face well before using this product because you dont wanna use it if your face is dierty,i mean whats the point? A dirty face is acne, and a clean face is clean and clear. It hasnt completly made my acne scars dissapear, but very close too! And its fast because ive only used it for about a month and it works well. I think the price is great because it works and it last long, aslong as you dont go overboard because not everybody has the same type of skin or situation with acne so just in case, you dont wanna damage your skin or make you acne worse. also, after im dont using and i take it off with water my face is really soft and smooth and i can see the differentce, but dont expext to see the difference over night,i mean please, its acne scars, you gotta be patient. anyways its great and i love it! lol,im so happy,i mean you wouldnt bolive how my face looked like before and now i dont have ANY acne marks!

Pros:

This worked very well, but now I can't find it anywhere.

Cons:

Can't find it anywhere

Why has all the stores stopped carrying this? Or why was it discontinued?

Pros:

I've only been using this product for 2 days, and almost every blackhead on my face is gone!

Cons:

The scrubbing beads are big, so they can get a little messy!! But if you use it in the shower, it's not a problem.

Great product. I've used everything -- Apricot Scrubs, Astringents, Cleansers, ProActiv.... nothing ever works! I have sensitive skin, and very oily skin. Most products make my breakouts worse, or give me a horrible rash. This one is great on sensitive skin and leaves me feeling clean without overdrying.

Pros:

-Minimizes pores-Smells good-Smooths skin-Nice packaging-Doesn't burn or strip skin-Reduces surface shine for oily skin

Cons:

The only con is that I would like for it to clear black heads better.

The bottom line is, this product obviously isn't for everyone. Try it out, see if your skin can take this product without making your acne worse. If you have sensitive skin i wouldn't recommend using an astringent no matter how light. But if you're like me and have oily skin, you'll love this product.

Pros:

this works! it does everything it says it would do. it feels like a layer of dirt was stripped off my face - leaving me feeling completely fresh after i washed it off. the fragrance is nice and not too overpowering. doesn't make my skin oily at all.

Cons:

the beads can be harsh on a dry face. not to be used on a daily basis.

i started using this about two months ago, and it basically just cleans your face and gets rid of any dirt deep in your pores. it relieves your face of any future breakouts, but the old ones still linger on your skin a bit unless you use something else. i use it about 3 times a week, and it's given me good results. i love the super clean feel it gives. don't forget to moisturize!

Pros:

This product is very good, i've been using it on and off for about 3 years. i tend to have dry skin after using other cleansers, but this keeps my skin perfectly moisturized!

Cons:

none so far.

This is a very inexpensive product for treating acne! I would definetly reccomend this for those who tend to "dry out" (because that's me!) from using other skin cleansing products. it smells great, it's oil free. I would recommend rubbing your face with an ice cube after the wash (if you rinse your face in the shower) to close up the pores again, so no dirt gets into them! I love this product and it's simply the best!!

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
