Help?

Pros:

Softens skin

Cons:

Kinda drys out patches on skin

Well I have been experiencing acne for awhile now and nothing seemed to work.so I went out and bought acne free treatment and I don't know what to think I have had it for about 5 days but it says on the box results in 1-3 days I don't really see any results yet but I think I'll keep using for another week because people have seen dramatic results in 2 weeks. I don't know am I expecting too much in a couple days?

Love it!

Pros:

clears acne
gentle
light weight

Cons:

none

I love this product mostly because it is so light weight and goes on smooth and dries pretty fast. It does clear up acne better than the 10% BP out there.

Acne.org Regimen

Pros:

Cleared Up Most of Acne, If Not All
Great Ingredients in Products
Keeps Me Clear of my Acne

Cons:

BP Was A Little Iritating
Flakiness (But I Didn't Mind)

Wow, is all I can say! I am so happy I found acne.org. I promised myself that this would be the year that I cleared my acne and found a solution. I was sick of buying new products and being disappointed and frustrated. I used products such as MURAD, Dermalogica, Michael Todd, Garnier, Clearasil, Cetaphil, Spectro, Avene, etc and they never really worked. I also spent about $400.00 on the Clarisonic Mia 2 and the PMD and both showed no results. I have pretty bad acne but wouldn't consider myself a severe case. I have had cystic acne spots but that only happens once in a while for me. My problem is I get hormonal acne that sticks around for a long time...I get spots that are typically on my cheeks and chin that just won't go away and then end up scarring my face. I have really REALLY oily skin as well so that doesn't help. Since I've been on the regimen (it's been 4 weeks) I've noticed a huge difference in the quality of my skin and my breakouts are pretty much gone. I have two little spots right now and a spot right under the skin that won't surface but besides that I am acne free. I am so impressed. I have been on topical treatments too and they didn't give me nearly as great results. I was on retin-A and tactuo. My skin is a little itchy sometimes and I do experience some flakiness but it's not unbearable. My skin use to be super oily but it's more on the normal side of combination skin now. I feel like I can be more confident without makeup and feel beautiful which is something I've struggled with. I feel liberated from acne and I hope it will only get better from here. My pores are easily clogged but since I've started the regimen my pores feel cleaner and way more refined. In the first week the appearance of my pores changed by a lot. They are still in the process of healing on one of my cheeks but I have noticed a big difference and I am thrilled because that was something I thought I could only dream about! I absolutely love Dan's philosophy on acne and love how he started his business off of his own passion towards healing acne and being free of its restraints mentally and emotionally. I can't thank him enough. I like how he doesn't test on animals too and uses organic ingredients. I am an acne.org fan for life and will continue to buy these products, DO NOT STOP MAKING THEM :) I really enjoy the products used in the regimen, even though, some of them do cause a little discomfort as first but you get use to them. I didn't think I would like the cleanser as I tried Cetaphil, Avene, Spectro, etc and didn't feel like they cleaned my skin or did anything (they would make my skin worse) but the regimen's cleanser is really nice and I love that it lathers. 5/5 HANDS DOWN. IF YOU DON'T OWN THESE PRODUCTS, GO GET THEM BECAUSE THEY HONESTLY WORK!! I don't think I've ever heard anyone not like these products that were using them correctly. Make sure you do some research and take the time to do the steps correctly and you will be fine. Thanks Dan for helping me with my acne, I plan on posting pictures and an updated review in another 5 months.

Good but....

Pros:

Nice smell
Easy application

Cons:

Too harsh on dry skin

This was good. I used this along with their facial pads. I don't know if it was because of that combo, or my dry prone skin, but my face just gets sooo dry.

Finally! Something that works!

Pros:

So simple to use!
very gentle on the skin
everything about it is amazing!

Cons:

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Words cant describe how happy I am with these products. My skin is HIGHLY sensitive and it has always rejected any product I use. I began having issues with acne when I was about 15 and it got really bad when I reached my late teens and by the time I was 20 it was so bad that trying to cover it up with makeup made it even uglier. I've tried a lot of different skin products; from drugstore to high-end products, birth control, facials, peels, and nothing worked. I was doing some research online and I stumbled upon acne.org and noticed they had their own line. I was a little apprehensive about buying the kit because I thought it was going to be like everything else.... Im so glad I was wrong! Everything is so gentle on my skin and it has cleared it completely in just a few months. In the beginning it was a little tough because the benzoyl peroxide treatment was very drying and my skin became a bit flakey but out of the blue all the acne was gone! Aside from the products being amazing, Dan's explanation of what causes acne and how we should treat it changed my whole perspective on how I should be treating my skin. I honestly cant thank this company enough for creating such a simple but effective line of products.... I finally have my skin back! Thank you!

Thank you
Thank you for making BP available to me, unable/limited to find it in my country. ABOUT BP About the BP miracle (I had acne over 10 years, now my skin has scars) -- I have noticed more better results than BP clean solutions, I recommend Dr. Wolf , Acne fug (it's was the only thing with BP in my country, and now I can not stop using it!!!), Acne fug is 5% BP and has alcohol and some other clearing skin agents(it's stored something like 2-7 decrees) (the paper recommends it for hormonal acne (hormons cause acne etc), the acne that other products can't fight), I use it once a day and works much better than any BP solution so far (It can't get any better, so I stay at this product. If I will not use acnefug for several days the acne comes back, some pimple or pimples appear, but if using this product they disappear after 2-3 days completely), no flakiness or anything(BP makes skin look a bit lifeless). Only once a day!!!!(I shower once a day!)(it's quite effective so please not use that often) I also use moisturizer with lipids and after that my skin is not try and feels good.

More product for your dollar
I used the Neutrogena on the spot for a long time and this just blows it out of the water. The initial price tag may jump out at you, but you get way more for your money in the long run and it lasts. The BP is equally effective as other 2.5% formulas and the clear formula won't make it look like you face is milky when you sweat

Acne Free Sensitive Spot Treatment burns

Cons:

Awoke to burning puffy face

I have used regular strength with the same burning results. I thought this would be perfect to use to get ready for a church handbook photo session.

Good for Acne, Bad for Skin

Pros:

Dries out Acne

Cons:

Dries out skin
Makes overall skin irritated

A few years ago my skin was plagued with moderate acne, no cysts. Proactiv helped to dry up the active acne, like pimples and whiteheads and this worked for about 2 months. After 3 months of useage my overall skin become pink and irritated because the product is way too harsh for regular skin.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
