Pros:

Acne went away , most of it atleast, smooth skin, tingly fresh feeling after wash,

Cons:

smell burns eyes, bleaches clothes, Dry skin,

Great product, i liked it . Worked very well for the time i used it regulary, Dont get acne as often, and not as severe. Im very bad at using something very regularly specially exfoliating skin and all. I use Clean And clear's persa gel on top, before i moisturize. Its a MUST HAVE !! i have very few acne around my cheeks , more on my forhead and around my side burns. I would recommend the two together works great

Pros:

Cleared my skin up after NOTHING else would, and has stopped new breakouts from coming back - I only get a pimple about once a month now. When I get a pimple, I use the spot treatment that you can buy, and it clears it up.

Cons:

It took almost 3 months to clear my skin. I was about ready to give up because I thought it wasn't working. It also makes my skin feel greasy all day, but oil blotting tissues take care of that problem.

It worked for me, and it was less than $20.

Pros:

Products are easy to use and they work as described.

Cons:

Can't really think of any except I run out of the soap too fast. A family of four, that's alot of skin to clean.

I am 37 yrs old and have never had skin problems until recently. They are not extreme, but bothersome none the less. I'm a frequent Ebayer and adore natural products especially w/Shea and Cocoa butters. I came across Carleys when I did a search for Shea butter soap, browsed the online store and like a beacon light there was the adult acne treatment! IT'S BEEN THE BEST THING I COULD HAVE EVER INVESTED IN!!!! It worked so well, I recommended it to a co-worker of mine who suffers from severe acne (the kind that leaves scars on your face) she said she had tried everything and that most products she used were too strong for her sensitive skin. I bought the treatment for her and she said it has been the only thing that has worked for her. I have started my 14 yr. old daughter on it and just ordered some for my mother. I buy the soap, the acne treatment and the anti-aging scrub. All great products!! It works! It works! It works!

Pros:

The aloe vera in the vanishing cream seemed to ease the drying effect of the benzoyl peroxide.

Cons:

Not the best product to use in summer!

I bought this product while on holiday in Florida. I don't think the acne tablets did very much, but the vanishing cream did improve my complexion after about 3 weeks. However, I got a very sun burnt face while using the cream out and about in the Florida sun despite using a factor 20 snscreen!!!

Pros:

- Great for spot treatments
- Gets rid of those little pimples that aren't quite noticable but other acne products miss

Cons:

- Can be sort of messy I suppose? I put it on before bed so I just have to be careful not to rub it off.

I've always struggled with a stream of acne across my forheads and cheeks. I have TONS of freckles, so they camaflodge the acne. It's not noticable unless you run your fingers across my skin because they are very light pimples. However, this is something that just seemed to never go away no matter how hygenic I was. Luckily, I found out about this little treasure. I remember the morning after my first use I could already tell that nearly all my unnoticable acne was gone! I loved it! I used it on my larger pimples and while there was a redness for maybe two hours max after washing this product off, the redness was dramatically lower and the pimple was healing within hours of washing my face. I bought this at Target on sale. I'd recommend waiting for this to go on sale because I find that it frequently does. This bottle should last for quite some time if you are frugal about your use. Sidenote: I use this product before I go to bed as a spottreatment. I wash it off in th

I started using proactiv and within the first few weeks it worked, but soon my skin just got dry and my acne got worse. And it's a huge waste of your money. I stopped using it after 6 months. If I ran out of one of them, I had to wait for my next shipment to arrive. Nice thing is that when I quit using it, they gave me a refund. That's the only good thing about it

Pros:

Dear Viewers,
I believe that this acne medicine works well enough to help acne that is not bad.

Cons:

Hey vieweres again,
This medication smells horrible because of the acohol. Some people say that it made their face worse but it depends on the face.

Just be careful. i recommend asking your doctor to make sure.

Pros:

Cleared pimples within the 2nd day of use.

Cons:

Dryness and redness may occur. It smells weird.

I am going to be 20 and I have very oily/combination skin. I have used everything in the CVS pharmacy. I found this product in the clearance section at Wal-Mart. I was skeptical, but I am sold. It does dry out my skin, but that's okay. I use this product at night only. And In the morning but I recommend to apply a light moisturizer after use in the morning. Make sure it's UVA/UVB SPF.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
