Pros:

I'm sure for some, it works great. For me, I have minor breakouts so I saw little difference.

Cons:

You can't just buy a sample to try. You are now in the "book of the month" club!

I didn't care for the product and switched to something else. However, Proactive sent me more items....at MY cost! When I called to cancel, they told me I had to pay for the shipping. I didn't sign up in their membership yet they put me in it anyway. What a pain! If the product works for you, the recurring shipments will probably be a blessing. If not, you're stuck with shipping charges you shouldn't have to pay for and have to take time out of your day to cancel. I will never use, or recommend, this to any of my friends unless Proactive changes their "mode of operation."

Pros:

I have struggled with cystic acne for years and have tried retin a, murad, dermalogica-you name it. I have never found anything so effective! Panoyxl is the best!

Cons:

I haven't found any yet

You can pay hundreds of dollars for a dermatologist and fancy skincare but nothing will work as well as this product. (at least it did for me)

Pros:

low price, completely effective, a blessing in my life, one less thing to worry about. I have a beautiful face I can show off now :)

Cons:

None I just wish they made a sunscreen

I am 28 and spend many years trying to find a product that worked well for me as a moisturizer and acne treatment. I am a redhead so its hard for me to find things that work for my skin type. I went to a friends dermatologyst and after three weeks my skin was horrid. I worked for a financial firm and the time and had to look good as I was the first face our clients saw. I cried for days till my face cleared up from all the harsh products this dermatologyst prescribed for me. I went online to search for something I could buy. I don't know how I came across Carley's Clear and Smooth but I saw how natural it was and how they didn't spend money on marketing and backaging. The bar of soap was simple and the acne treatment wasn't harsh. I ordered it and oh my goodness I am so thankful it turned out to be a product I know use everyday. I don't use anything else and I save money and its simple and allows my skin to look it's best. I wish there was a sunscreen Carleys could make.

Pros:

Doesn't reek, got rid of a few of the smaller pimples, easy to use, inexpensive.

Cons:

Doesn't work with serious acne, or maybe its just me.

When I started using AcneFree I noticed it got rid of the smaller pimples, not saying I have a pizza face, but some of the more stubborn ones are still here :/ I've been using it for about 3 weeks and still no change. But I'm also not getting any peeling or redness so that's good. I recommend this to people who have little acne.

Pros:

It works really good on my face.

Cons:

The cleanser runs out before the rest of the other products, and unfortunately , you can only purchase the whol shabang.

They are terrible when it come to customer service, I think the ladies are working from behind bars. And dont give your credit card ### to them...DO NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and do not run out your face will suffer withdrawls . And add up the costs your self and match the total you were charged, it's not like they will do anything to fix, its just so you know how much you have in the bank when they are done getting their money...hahaha

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
