Pros:

It works the first 4 months, but you cant miss a day, or the your skin will get worse!

Cons:

Stops working after a while..and no difference after the initial four months. Mild break-out first few weeks.

It works for a while, but for me it just stopped working. It might be different on others but I suggest differin gel.

Pros:

i feel my face clean, fresh, old marks from acne (red) are dissapering

Cons:

i live in a hot island with almost every day we have hot temperature ,the moist. cream is a little too irritate for me to use it at day so i use the moisturizer gel from clinique and at night the acne moist.

Since i was 12 i have acne, i went to a dermatologist and help me very well with my problem. I start using clinique products almost 4 years ago and they work well on me. But at this last 2 years im in so much stress so my acne come back badly(now im 24). At january i decide to go to the dermatologist again but the lotion she recommend me didnt work and my acne was worst so i discontinue that product, it was a waste of money :-S so i decide to start a research in the internet to view some reviews from different brands and i find this site and read too many good reviews so i decide to purchase it. The first time i use the products i feel my face so clean and fresh, the next day almost every pimple and marks starts to dissapear, my mom notice that and she didn't knew i was using this product for my acne. Today is almost 5 days of using this products and my old marks from my acne of months are almost gone, the old scars from my acne(5 or 6 yrs ago) are so much better. I feel confident :-D

Pros:

-skin feels softer
-has times when its pretty clear

Cons:

-lotion is greasy
-it burns and itches a bit when you first use it
-doesnt make you confident, still insecure and doesnt prevent breakouts at all

the toner runs out very fast, i find the mask to work better than anything else. my skin feels smoother but i get ingrowns a lot and it doesnt seem to help prevent it or make my face "glowing." i still feel insecure. I am a little dissapointed..I think it works sometimes and doesnt others, but i dont think that has anything to do with the medication just how lucky you are that week. Im going to keep trying

Pros:

Spots do go reasonably quickly

Cons:

Extremely dry skin and redness!!!!!

I have suffered from acne for years but always just 'put up with it' but had a really bad outbreak and a friend recommended to me. The first 3 days i used it there were no problems and my spots got noticeably better, but on day 4 my skin went really really red and dry and itched terribly to the point of wanting to stratch my face off!!! I am moisturising but as at day 5 it still looks and feels as bad, maybe i just over used it wanting the results or it did not agree with me. I would recommend but proceed with caution.........

Pros:

It's affordable and it works for me. Saw results within a month.

Cons:

Can't buy just one of the bottle individually. you have to purchase new package if you run out of one bottle. will make your skin dry.

I have had acne all my life. Sure it does dry out my skin mainly around the nose area and the neck areas. I just avoided using it on my neck and nose areas. Had I used this product sooner in my life, then I may have had less marks and pores on my face, but overall it has really worked for me and the dryness goes away with time. My skin got use to it and now it's really clear and everyone around me has noticed. I'm glad I at least gave this product a try. It may not be for everyone but it worked for me. I have tried Boscia, dermadoctor, cosmedicine, murad, proactive, neutrogena, and all kinds of stuff and so far none of them have given me the results that acnefree has given me.

Pros:

it's the BOMB. works supper quickly on the infection itself, gets rid of the harsh bumps under the first layer of skin, cream dries off and minimizes the zit super fast!!!! Good for oily and sensitive skin.

Cons:

not much, the vanishing cream made my eyes watery! ..but i really don't care.

So i've used this before (1 year ago, started use in the summer) and worked wonders. Back in that time my skin went throught rough stages of acne, feeling worthless and insecure, even to the point of shedding tears. I used about 2 months worth of the tablets and cream and never had to use it for the rest of the year!!!! =D But after about 8 months of not using it I broke out again, so i had my aunt shipp some for me again and i'm still not disapointed in the results after only 4 days of use! That annoying feeling oily skin leaves is completely gone, and my pimples are shrinking and disappearing by the day!!!!! It is sooooo worth buying over and over again!

Pros:

Fragrance-free, very light, leaves no white marks or residue (both before or after drying), as effective as 10%, non shiny or greasy.

Cons:

None, hands down the best benzoyl peroxide product I've tried. Period.

When I first found this site, I found it interesting but grew cynical when I saw products were for sale. "Oh, so that's the catch," I thought, "this is just an excuse for some guy to peddle his products." I was completely wrong - this is the best BP treatment I have ever used, and trust me, I have used every brand out there in 3 different countries. I can't believe no one has made such a great product that goes on clear, is fragrance free, is light to the touch and unobtrusive, and yet totally effective. Amazing stuff and totally worthwhile. It cleared me up big time.

Pros:

Made skin smooth-Cleared my acne within 2 months-reduced the redness

Cons:

It would get dry if I don't put on lotion after the whole 3 step. I recommend if your face gets really dry to use the moisture surge (its from clinique also). This really helped with the dryness.

Before Cliniques Acne Solutions, I have used ProActive, Acne Clear, had chemical peels(mircodermabersion), spent bookoo bucks on acne gels (Tazorac, and Differen), and nothing has worked better than Clinique. I was very skeptical at first because I used their 3step system before (not the acne solutions) and it didn't work on my skin. I finally decided to try the acne solution and its really working. I'm feeling more and more confident about myself as my skin is clearing up more and more.

Pros:

Cleared my skin completely and kept it clear for two years

Cons:

Makes your skin really dry and kind of red when you first start using it.

This product saved my skin. It took about a month to completely clear my face and kept my skin clear for two years. Unfortunately, out of nowhere my face broke out pretty bad this summer. I still use it along with other products.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
