Thank you Acne.Org for making me happy in my own skin again

I never write reviews but I am SO happy with my progress and want anyone whose looking at this and having doubts to take the plunge because it?s honestly the best! I have lost a load of my before photos due to my phone resetting so these are the only ones I could find on my phone but I?m still shocked at how bad my skin was compared to how clear it is now. I am honestly so happy in my own skin for once and feel confident to go out without makeup which I never would have done before.

I was previously given Roaccutane from the dermatologist and that cleared my skin up I?m  talking 10 years ago and then it got bad again around 1-2 years ago. I have spent thousands on skin care regimes, retinol and skin peels you name it I?ve tried it! I have also been to the doctors and tried prescribed skincare from them however nothing worked seemed to work. The doctors also tried to get me to go on the pill to clear my skin which I think is outrageous and I refused as I feel that you shouldn?t have to rely on a tablet pumping you with hormones to have nice skin!  I?ve finally found something that works, thank you Acne.Org

My cousin recommended this to me and I bought it in May and the photos where my skin is clear were  taken on Sunday in Oct. Stick with it it?s SO worth it!!

Great stuff

I'm very sceptical, so at first i didn't have big hopes for this treatment. I'm 20 years old and struggled with moderate acne since i was 11. My skin is very VERY sensitive, any other medical grade gel and cream usually did more bad than good. I combine this treatment with a healthy, reasonable diet (no dairy was a must, and i also cut off coffee and choc), their face wash (or if i run out, anything thats delicate enough) and regular unscented moisturizer along with spf.

It did WONDERS.

Its been half a year, and the change is drastic. I have no active pimples on me right now (aswell as no redness). I occassionally get one here and there before period or if i eat something bad accidentally, but the gel makes it go away SO much faster! Around 3-4 days and theyre gone. They're also much smaller and not nearly as inflamed. I've tried BP before ,but both 5% and 10% were too harsh for me and caused me to break out anyway. This is PERFECT

TLDR; Very sensitive, acne prone skin, this thing changed my quality of life, couldn't recommend enough!

Great products!

I have been using carley’s for about a month now, maybe a little more than that.  First of all, my acne is fairly mild now due to the fact that I take birth control.  Before carley’s, I was using the Neutrogena pink grapefruit exfoliating scrub which actually helped my skin a lot overall.  I would moisturize with their “Sensitive Skin” moisturizer which is still one of the best I’ve ever used.  Anyways, I was tired of getting the random and unnecessary breakouts so I decided to look around for something involving a more structured routine for acne.  I stumbled across carley’s and decided to give it a try.  Well, I can definitely say that overall, my skin texture and appearance has improved drastically.  I follow the routine exactly as instructed (it’s very easy to use) and use the natural soap on my body as well since I can get small breakouts on my chest and back occasionally.  My skin looks great!  I have also been using the morning and evening moisturizers and they’ve been great and not oily at all.

I do still get the occasional breakout but it is way more manageable and within a day or two, the pimple dries up and is barely visible.  I will still use a BP spot treatment cream to spot treat but it’s rare that I have to do so.

overall, I love these products and will continue to use them indefinitely.  I still have a little over half a bottle of the medicated treatment left, it really lasts!  The natural soap is cheap for me to buy in bulk and I swear by it for smoother and clearer skin.

this is definitely not a “miracle product” and of course results will vary since most acne is hormonal as we all know.  If you want to improve your skin’s texture and lessen break outs, give this stuff a try!  Not to mention, the owners of the company as so nice and responsive to any emails with questions or comments.  I highly recommend carley’s!

Been a loyal user for 10 years

BEST treatment on the market. Reasonably priced and worked miracles (for me). Started way back in high school when adolescent acne first hit me in the face like a brick. I was embarrassed and willing to try anything. After trying and using it religiously (2x a day), much of my worst acne cleared up significantly within months. 10 years later, now at 26, my genetics and pubescent hormones have backed off but I still use the Regimen to take good care of my skin and prevent stress (and bad genetic related) acne.

Truthfully, as advice on their packaging/website suggest, it took a looong time before my face was acclimated to the strong 'medicine' present in the Benzol Peroxide. And everyone's body/skin chemistry is likely different. But for me, after weeks of ramping up usage slowly, BP quickly became my best friend in reducing inflammation/whiteheads. Any flaking or irritation following use of the BP became a non-issue after a while. The cleanser and BP were absolutely bomb and the most useful parts of the Regimen. Moisturizer (for my already intensely oily skin) was sometimes overkill and I only ended up using it longterm about 1-2x a WEEK... if I used it at all. All throughout college, I just survived on the BP. Glycolic Acid, which I recently only discovered post-college (~23 y.o.) was also a game changer. My face, after years of on and off Regimen use, reacted fine to it... albeit it pretty red in the mornings at first (I mean it's a chemical face mask what do you expect). And I only used 1x a week. This one has quickly become a go-to of mine for when I'm experiencing a bad stress breakout. I'll use an AHA mask and by morning, things are cleared up.

Worked for my Post-Menopausal Break-Outs

I have been wanting to write a review for the Treatment 2.5% for quite some time. This will only apply to *ahem* older ladies like myself who still suffer from annoying break-outs. I never had pimples with pus..rather just a regular dose of red angry bumps mostly on both cheeks.  Since my teenage daughter was having success with the Acne.org products, I decided to try the treatment myself on my cheeks only.  This was two years ago, and I haven't had any recurrence of the red bumps since.  I give full credit to the 2.5% treatment gel and hope my success may encourage "mature ladies"  with skin break-outs to give this a try.....was definitely a win-win for me.

BP is a game changer

I started practicing the Acne.org regimen and it dramatically changed my skin. I use the cetaphil gentle skin cleanser with the Acne.org BP and Neutrogena sensitive skin lotion with 2 drops of Jojoba oil and my acne has been controlled. The BP along with a non comedogenic cleanser and moisturizer is a game changer. Try it! blessings!

Cleared up my stubborn skin in 3 weeks, moisturizer is a godsend

My skin has been plagued with all types of acne for years now. I had tiny little bumps all over my face, and I'd frequently see pimples on my cheeks and forehead. My chin would get painful cysts. Bad stuff all around. Lot's of little red spots. It was always something new each week and even with products like Paula's Choice that helped a lot, I could never get it under control without completely drying my face out. That's what makes this regimen so different is that it provides a moisturizer that counteracts the drying effect you will have from the BZP treatment. After nearly 3 weeks of using this treatment, my skin feels like it did before I was a teenager. Yes, it's true! It's completely smoothed and even free of the little bumps I used to have.  I did not expect it to work so well. I've been using a zinc serum at night which has helped with the scarring. Here's a recap of each of the products:

Wash: Simple no fuss cleaning every morning and night. I like that it foams up and doesn't over dry my skin although sometimes it will feel a bit tight after a wash.

BZP Treatment: This is the good stuff. It will dry out your skin though even with moisturizer so just be mindful. The regimen does make it clear that you have to use a lot when you're using it in order to get results so I just shifted to putting that amount on my face once a day instead of twice. It is extremely effective. My skin is more or less entirely clear after less than a month of using it. I had mild acne before so it was never too out of control but enough to be bothersome day in and day out. Very happy with how the BZP product worked for my face.

Moisturizer: My absolute favorite part of this whole kit is the moisturizer. I've never felt something instantly hydrate my skin so well. You'll find it does sit on the skin, but it eventually soaks in to give you a supple glow. I don't think this regimen would be what it is without this component. In the past my skin ALWAYS dried out so much with the treatment part and I'd have to stop the treatment because dry skin is also terrible. Even if I stop using the treatment for whatever reason, I'll continue to buy the moisturizer, it is a skincare life changer.

From my experience, I would absolutely recommend anyone experiencing stubborn and annoying mild acne try the regimen once. It's affordable compared to a lot of products and you get a decent amount out of it. I haven't felt my skin like this in years and it's just nice to feel good about your skin. Definitely worth it. Shout out to TikTok where I found out about this product!

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
