Pros:

It is fast absorbing and quickly dries.

Cons:

Causes flakiness and itchy skin during the first month or so.

I have had acne since my early twenties. I have tried everything from accutane, antibiotics, Proactiv, murad, etc. I have finally found something that works and I couldn't be happier. My skin is clear and the AHA has decreased my red scars so much I can barely see them. I am not wearing a lot of makeup because there is nothing to cover up! I am so happy with this entire line and will continue to be faithful to the regimen.

Pros:

DeeVoo SKIN CARE SAVED MY SKIN!!!!!!!! I had acne problems all of my teenage years and into my 20s (I'm 26 now). I discovered DeeVoo over a year ago and I could not be happier with the products. After spending $500 a month on facials and products that left my skin in worse shape than before, DeeVoo is a God send. I stumbled upon the products on Etsy and immediately recognized the quality of the products used and the simple but common-sense philosophy of the oil-cleansing method.

Cons:

Have to pay for shipping each time I order.. It makes sense and I would charge for shipping too, obviously. But it's literally the only thing I could think of as a "con". Otherwise, simply perfect. Maybe have an auto-ship option for regular customers with a discount? Just a thought.. You're amazing.

I will never use other products and I recommend these to anyone I come across. People still remark on how amazing m skin looks. It's almost as if they forgot how bad my skin was before, and I'm fine with that!! (P.S. The cost of $44 is for ALL THREE PRODUCTS!!!!!! What a steal!!! I laugh when people say it's pricey because compared to competitors, it's reasonably priced and the only thing that works. I'd pay $100 (but please don't raise prices....) )

Pros:

When I first started the regimen I used Dove bar soap as my face wash, then applied the cream over my face. Start off by applying a little everyday then add a more. I did just as daniel said. I washed my face for 10 to 15 seconds. Every morning and night I used the cream everyday for a few months. My acne was completely gone and I didn't even have to buy any more because it hasn't came back. This is the best acne product I have ever used! I'll never use anything else. Thank you daniel!!!!

Cons:

If you have sensitive skin, start off by using a little because it can leave your skin extremely dry.

Best product for acne, I recommend to anyone who has acne!!! Only thing that has worked for me and I have tried everything. It's simple, natural and effective.

Pros:

It has no pros

Cons:

drying, makes skin red

After countless informercials and rave reviews about how this was like the holy grail for acne. I decided to try it. Well let me tell you this stuff is like the worst stuff on earth. The first time I used it,I thought oh man I really hope this works. But long behold two hours later, it turned my skin as red as the devil's a**. I mean perhaps that's a pro because my skin was the same color as my acne. To me it was terrible but I said to myself it's only doing this because my skin is not used to it. So I kept at it for about two months. I went to school looking like a rotten tomatoe and it wasn't really fun to take my school picture for the year book. As the days turned to weeks I noticed that the acne wasn't leaving and niether was the redness. So I ditched this stuff. I mean paying to look that bad no bueno. I decided to try a more natural route and it worked better.

Pros:

-Moisturized my skin well
-Felt my skin was smoother

Cons:

-Made me get so many black heads and clogged pores
-Overrated

I tried this after my husband told me to because I was starting to break out again and he told me that Proactive wont cause me to break out at all....well boy was he wrong. I felt my skin was smoother after trying it for a couple of weeks, but then my skin starting getting clogged pores and then I got black heads and it just wasn't a pretty sight. My self esteem went down so fast after using this. I felt after a month or two of using this, it stopped working and my skin started flaring up again.

Pros:

*Over the Counter
*Don't have to buy it in a kit
*Cheaper than prescription
*Non-irritating
*Effective for small regular pimples
*Best over-counter spot/gel treatment I've tried

Cons:

*Still kind of expensive for such a small tube
*Have to dap quite a bit on
* noticeable (stays white and crusty until you wash it off or it flakes off) so use only at night
*Does not really work for those nodules type and may take two or three applications to fully get rid of a pimple, through one is usually enough

Yes it is cheaper and more readily available than determatalogist prescription gels, but Epiduo or Differin (prescriptions) work better. However, it is the best working of the over-counter ones I have tried, and I use it between appointments if I run out of Epiduo.

Pros:

My skin feels so soft and my pimples and pores are so much smaller. The cleansing brush is FANTASTIC as is the green tea moisturizer. I recommend them both when getting the three step solution. Free samples sent with order.

Cons:

The smell isn't great.
The size of the bottles cost so much and are travel sized which is ridiculous.

Proactiv works for me. But, make sure you follow the steps completely. Let step 2 dry completely before step 3. And make sure you have face moisturizer or you're skin will be really dry.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
