Pros:

It has made my skin feel very soft and refresh after each use.

Cons:

Makes my face breakout more has not ridden my pimples.

I've been using Acnefree for two weeks today. I do not have severe acne at all. I have some around the chin area and bottom jaw line. This product has caused my chin and jaw area to break out into huge hard pimples. On the brighter side the only thing I like about this product that it does make my skin feel refreshed and very soft. Know if only it would get rid of the pimples it would be perfect. I've read other reviews on here where people have said to wait more than two weeks. I will continue to use this product until it runs out, which should be in another week or so. If my skin happens to clear up within that time I'll repost a more positive note.

Pros:

It is affordable and easy to use.

Cons:

It doesn't smell good or make your skin feel "clean"

I have had acne since I was 14 and I keep trying things to clear it up but nothing works.I have large "Angry" acne.(that's what I call it!)Went to dermotologist last summer and even what he prescribed barely helped. Might work for people who have small mild acne. Did not work for me.

Pros:

This is a very good product. It goes on smooth, clear, and absorbs well. I noticed it helped clear up/shrink some acne even after the first day and I really started to notice it working after 10 days. One tube lasts over a month for me.

Cons:

The only bad thing is that it slightly dries out your skin. But that's to be epxected with benzoyl peroxide.

I will never go back to cream-based benzoyl peroxide products again. They work, but don't go on clear and take a long time to absorb. This product does on clear and absorbs fast and it really does work without drying your skin too much, so I highly recommend it. Also, the tube might look small in the pictures, but it lasts a very long time. I've been using it for 4 weeks and I'm only 60% into the tube. I expect it to last at least another 2 weeks. One $8.50 tube lasting 6 weeks is a really great value. If you have more severe acne, one tube might not last as long though. Either way, I highly recommend this product.

Pros:

Face feels clean.

Cons:

I have been using this product religiously for almost 4 years (morning & night). I don't know why I keep using it... false hope!! It has not helped my skin and I feel like it's gotten worse over the years...

I guess it depends on the person... it works for some and doesn't for others... Best of luck!!!

Pros:

SO much better than ProActive, my skin is so sensitive and I haven't even turned red.

Cons:

It does make you break out more at first, because its drying everything out...so for the first two weeks you're probably gonna have some more pimples than normal.

After the first few days of more breakouts, your skin clears up. If you think your skin looks paler it's because of the dead skin cells being scrubbed off, and that means the toners doing its job. Wait it out, it's worth it! BUY AT TARGET...its much cheaper.

Pros:

Affordable, lasts a long time, works great, doesn't overdry skin, doesn't irratate my allergies

Cons:

Mail order only, not a big deal at all

I started using two weeks before my wedding which was too soon for it to make a big difference by then, but now that I'm mostly through the first bottle my skin looks better than ever before. I get the periodic tiny pimple, but nothing like before and the scars from the old acne are even clearing up, which is amazing because I thought I'd be splotchy forever. I have much higher self confidence since using this product because I don't have to constantly fear that my makeup is going to rub off and expose my skin - I barely wear makeup anymore! I am so happy to have skin that's finally clearing up. I'm 25 years old and shouldn't be dealing with cystic breakouts, so this product is truly a life saver. I think that the moisturizer which I just ordered will help a lot too! $41.00 is including shipping and the moisturizer on my most recent order. Without the moisturizer it's ony $25

Pros:

It Works! Literally over night, i saw a difference! Now after about a year, my face is completely clear. I'm so happy I came upon this product. I know it's cheesy, but It changed my life.

Cons:

There really isn't any I can think of. I mean I've never experienced irritation or dryness.

It's just so simple to you use. I mean how easier can it get? Eat the tablet, and put on the cream. There's no "3-Step Process" to do, and its quick to use. I tries Proactive, and it did work but it took a long time, and it was really expensive. Nature's Cure works just the same if not better and is way cheaper.

Pros:

it really works... but it was hard to figure out how to use it to get the results i wanted

Cons:

i had to buy additional pro activ products other than the three step system to get the results that i wanted. also, i also noticed after awhile of using the product my skin got worse, which is when i realized i needed a moisturizer

it works but only when u use it the right way for ur skin type. dont follow the instructions exactly. change it up to fit ur skins needs.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
