Pros:

It seemed to help , but the improvement wasn't enough to warrant the price. I think it might work if you have a real acne rather than if you have hormonal pimples.

Cons:

Expensive.
Did not seem to work on my daughter's hormonal pimple problem.

I purchased this for my daughter who is 12 and has pimples on her T-Zone which seem to get worse with her monthly cycle. She used this religiously for a couple of months and did not get much of a result. It helped, but not any more than clearsil. The mask is the only thing that, in my opinion, is worth the money. If you have a real "acne" problem, this product may work for you, but not for preteen hormonal "pimples" on the forehead, nose and chin. I paid about $60 for almost a month's worth of the product and got the same result as the generic $20 similar product in walmart.

Pros:

nothing

Cons:

makes your acne worse

i had very very mild acne before using this product. i only had a pimple or two. after 3 orders of it i stopped using it because it would make me have huge break outs, and very dry skin. a month after i brokeee out so bad. it is now 20x worse than i had started. i get these huge bumps all over my face and i have never gotten these before. do not buy this product.

Pros:

amazing customer service, makes your skin feel extremely clean and smooth after treatment

Cons:

washcloth can be very irritating at times

i used this for 6 weeks, and unfortunately the product didn't work great for me. ladies, stay away from ortho tri-cyclen LO (the normal kind is fine) ... it turned my mild acne to severe. it's terrible. carley's has the best, best, best service (i asked so many questions and they answered every single one of them) and the product does work, just probably more for others. the idea behind the product is a smart one (leaving benzoyl peroxide for just 30 seconds to disorient the bacteria without driving them down deeper into the pores as well as the daily exfoliation) and there are just so many good ingredients in it that i'm going to give it 2 more weeks before i make my decision. i use the treatment, the soap (AMAZING), daytime and nighttime moisturizer by the way.

Pros:

This is awesome. Just be sure not to use too much because it will dry your skin. But I love it :)

Cons:

Can be drying.

It is well worth the price. The tea tree oil balances the 5% BP.

Pros:

Cleared my acne and removed red swelling from acne i couldnt help but pick at.

Cons:

There are no cons if you follow my instructions for usage instead of the ones on the bottle.

There is a deep clean scrub that has blue dots through it, purchase this and rub into the skin while showering and rinse after 5mins, then after shower allow your skin to become completley free of water aka dry. Then apply the clearasil foam, it comes in an upright bottle that u push the top of to despense foam, leave this in!!! do not wash it out! before u go to work/school in the morning and before u go to sleep at night, i know this sounds farfetched and kinda gross in someways but please i assure you on my life it works wonders, people often complain about acne, but i know whats its like to think that the whole world is watching you, it isnt great i know, and after going through all of that i promise you i have no reason to lie.

Pros:

it does not have a offensive smell easy to use.

Cons:

it clears your acne for about a week and then just stops working all together. There are to many steps for something that doesnt work not to mention it is over priced. In the end it gave me acne on my face where i had never gotten it before.

this product does not work like they say it does

Pros:

it works!!

This product works! I've tried everything, and I wish I knew about this process/product years ago. I'm a college student and I finally have the clear face I've always wanted. I've been complimented on how great I look so much! Been using this product for only 6 months, but the results are incredible. For the girls, I also use BareMinerals and it's been working great!! Highly recommend this product and using it with BareMinerals so you don't clog your pores with other makeup.

Pros:

Clear and invisible. Cheap, it can save you hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. Most importantly - Effective! This product works better than any store brands and even some prescriptions.

Cons:

None. How can I have any complaints over something that saves me money and works very effectively?

I've been using the Regimen for a little over a year now and I could not be happier with the results of this product! I started using OTC products a while back when I lost my health insurance and could no longer afford some prescription products for my acne. I began using OTC gels such as On-The-Spot but the price was so expensive for such a little tube medicine and they never worked consistently anyway. Finally, I decided to try DK's Regimen as I read that it basically contains the same ingredient (BP) as the expensive store products. Once I received the products, I was amazed at how large the tubes were. I was basically getting 5x as much medicine for the same price of the store products! I also loved how easily the gel spread and how it remained invisible on the skin (no more chalky, white smears). Most importantly, though, is how this product has kept my face COMPLETELY free of acne for the past year. You have me sold. I will continue to buy this for as long as I need it. Thanks.

Pros:

None...

Cons:

Doesnt work, you get a lot more acne in places you never had a problem with, your skin will dry to the point of peeling, its expensive I can go on and on with the cons of this product...

This did not work for me. I had mild acne before, 1 pimple here and there, I tried this and my face broke out like never before! I get pimples in places I NEVER had. Dont take the risk. This product will irritate your skin, dry your skin to the point of peeling, and the worst part is that you will break out really bad even where you never had a problem. I've read reavies, and either people love it or they hate it. I guess it just didnt work for my skin, but if I were you I wouldnt take the risk to find out if it will work for you, because you will not be happy with the end result!!! Hate it!

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
