Pros:

Umm skin felt fresh and less bacteria

Cons:

irritated my skin causing massive eruptions EVERYWHERE totally ruined my face for a month thankfully clearlight and microdermabrasion saved me

If you have sensitive skin i would not recommend it or skin which gets irritated easily it will make it worse..Maybe not?? everyones skin is different but made my skin horrible i suggest to everyone to drink 5 cups of caffenine free green tea every day heaps of water resist greasy foods, they jsut arent worth the eomtional pain that comes with it. Have a good diet get 5 servings of fruits and vegies..SMOOTHIES are great ways to do this just add some low fat yogurt.breath in deeply when stressed or angered..be happy and please stay strong cause i know how horrible it feels but with perspiration you will make it through:)..also maybe try yoga...and also try seeing a docter first of all to get hormones checked. i HIGHLY RECOMMEND MICORDERMABRSION COMBINDE WITH CLEARLIGHT..Even if you have exsiting acne, microdermabrasion will suck out impurities while removing dead skill cells and skin wont be irritated cause the CLEARLGIHT treatment will kill existing acne bacteria:)

Pros:

There were alot of comercial advertizment that prompt you to buy the product. If you miss a comericail and didnt get the phone # it will be on within the hour you can get it then.

Cons:

It did not work. My doctor told me ther was no reason for this product to be a miracle.

I was mostly upset to learn that my trial was a monthy shippment that no one mentioned. And the free trial vitamins would keep comeing also again without being reorederd. Oh and the best part when returned they did not have to credit my credit card in full. There withheld shipping charges on merchandize I NEVER agreed to keep recieving month after month. So if you want to tey this product they will put you on an automatic program and good luck getting them to stop.

It starts working right away and cleared up my skin quicker than any other product I've ever used.

Can't beat the price, no pill popping, simple, effective, hands-down awesome! I'm running out and in a panic! Can't live without it!

Pros:

-cheap
- works pretty well; pimples went away a few days after using it.

Cons:

-dries out skin
-smell

Overall it works well, but I doubt that it will work for much longer. Most creams and solutions I use only work for a month or so. I think the only thing that really gets rid of acne are pills, or anything prescribed by a doctor.

Pros:

It dried up some of my small pimples when I first started using it.

Cons:

It made my skin very dry. It also irritated my skin, causing it to break out more often. I had more "under-the-skin" acne that took forever to heal.

During the summer, I started to break out very often, and I was suffering from cyst acne after I used some tea tree oil-based products on my face. I tried Clearasil Ultra because it claims that it will help clear acne fast! At first, it did - some of my small pimples went away in a day or two. It seemed to be effective against my cyst acne as well. However, after about a month or so, I realized that I started to break out even more often - the minute that one acne went away, I could tell that another one was about to erupt! But I decided to keep using Clearasil Ultra since it was working. After another month, the situation got worse - then I had more cyst acne, blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples! Finally, I decided to stop using Clearasil Ultra. I switched to some salicylic acid-based (Peter Thomas Roth) and sulfur-based products (DDF) instead. NOW, my face looks so much better - clearer, smoother and healthier! I will not buy any Clearasil products anymore!!!

Pros:

none

Cons:

dried out my skin. it was horrible. i had a few small blemishes and after using proactive, my whole face exploded. i had breakouts everywhere. and my skin was so dry, my makeup looked flaky. it was gross.

dont get proactive if you have sensitive skin. also! exfoliating your skin that often is really bad. it strips the face of its natural protectors.

Pros:

Great Product, Inexpensive, Easy to get

Cons:

None I can think of!!!!

Been using this product for years. Won't try anything else. I have used it all, including accutane, nothing worked like this product does. I do still get a few minor pimples, hormonal, other then that, I'm so clear. So wish I had this when I was a teenager! Thanks Clear and Smooth, please don't ever go away!!!!!

Pros:

I just recently got this product and I must say that it is definitely clearing my skin! Hopefully it is not like most acne products that work for just sometime!

Cons:

None

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
