Pros:

It works pretty well, very refreshing , leaves skin feeling almost "new" in a sense

Cons:

Strong "tingle" (burn) first couple times you use it

I use this product at least once a day. Generally twice. It all depends on how my day goes. Anyways, i highly recomend this product IF you use clean and clear's dual action moisturizer after you have washed your face with this product. I dont get break outs too often now . i do tend to "cake" makeup on my face and i work everyday so im constantly sweating on my face and when i wasn't using these products id get 2-3 pimples every couple of day now i dont get any except the occasional pimple. However, when i do get a pimple i just apply the clean and clear acne spot treatment and that works great. I highly suggest this product along with the other two. Haha

Pros:

It's cleared about 50% of my acne.

Cons:

The lotion makes my skin a little dry, but that goes away over the day. Spot treatement kind of works, but my other spot treatement works a lot better.

This stuff has cleared up plenty. I don't use step 1 just step 2 and 3. They haven't been hurting my face much at all.

Pros:

I love this product. I have tried other acne products and they never worked all that well for me. This took about 2 weeks for me to see results and I love my skin now. It Really Works. Try it!

Cons:

I have nothing bad to say about thsi wonderful product.

I would not buy or use any other product on my face again. I will only use this Product forever.

Pros:

Skin is 99.9% acne free! Surprisingly gentle on my skin at 10%. I only use it once a day after showering and touch up dryness with Vaseline Essential Moisture. About 4 Pounds Sterling in UK for 50g.

Cons:

None for me!

The best, I use 10%. The other ingredients Lactic acid, helps flakes and the petrolatum moisturizes the skin. The other antibacterial ingredient helps calm redness and gives the benzoyl peroxide an added kick.

Pros:

takes irritation and redness levels way down
makes pimples smaller

Cons:

may dry face over time of use. -use a mosturizer, simply!

i had very bad acne over the summer. all along my law line. cheecks, chin, sides of face. big -not small, red, irritated-looking pimples. i was using clearasil forever and it never did anything. i thought i had to use stuff that was harsh and "tough" so my acne could be "washed" away, but over the summer i actually came here and heard about the 2.5 ben over 10%. i was intrigued and found this product as a substitute for one of the regimen steps. ive never used neutrogena before, just always clearisil. so, i bought this and neutrogenas acne wash and BAM! big difference after a week with noticible improvment everyday. i had scars on my face from always messing with them, but this made my scars vanish. so for me after a week i was all clear. youll see results in as little as over night! this product is great. get it! you wont be disappointed. i love my face now! and can go out without make up if i wish i dont have to worry about what pipmle i have to cover with my make up or whatn

Pros:

dries up pimles extremely quickly, controls oil all day, feels good to use

Cons:

dries out skin, so a moisturizer is needed

Try this product, it is the only thing that has ever worked for me and ive tried everything, ive even been to the dermatologist a few times and still come back to acnefree. It is very important however to follow the instructions carefully and use a moisturizer.
September 12, 2009

Pros:

It's cheap. It worked for a couple of days. It doesn't smell like acid like most treatments.

Cons:

Left my skin feeling extremely rough. Moisturizers didn't do anything. Worked for a couple of days then break outs began to occur. Two-a-day treatments are hard to keep up with on a busy day.

You should really speak to a dermatologist before you buy this product. I think that's where I made the mistake. I've never tried proactive and it said it's "3x better than proactive" so I bought it. Not sure if proactive does the same thing. I should give that a try now.
September 11, 2009

Pros:

none.

Cons:

it says visibly clear results in 1-3 days, i'm going on my 3rd day and it has done nothing, at all, whatsoever. i am actually breaking out more if anything.

try a different product.

Pros:

Works great, Been using this product for over a year and a half! Started out using the Regular formula, and didn't see a a real difference but kept using it, then switched to the TEEN formula on my next order and haven't had a breakout since!

Cons:

Try the TEEN FORMULA first not the original formula if you have moderate to severe acne!

USE THIS STUFF IT WORKS!!!!! I use the bar of soap and apply it with a soft bristle facial brush, I recently left my facial brush at a hotel in seattle and noticed a huge difference in the texture of my skin, it wasn't as vibrant, so i bought another one! Can't live without it! Then I use the teen formula scrub, and rinse it and don't wash with the bar soap again afterwards and that keeps me acne free! I use both steps morning and night! I love it!

Pros:

I read all the reviews and I definitely thought this would work for me because nothing else had. I followed it religiously for 4 months, the service was super fast, email replies were quick and very helpful, and product is inexpensive.

Cons:

At first it felt good, but then my face broke out, the worst episode in my life! I had HUGE cystic acne, which I've never had, acne upon acne.

I tried to stick with it because I refused to give up, followed the directions exactly. I stayed in close contact with Steve, the founder/owner, and told him that my face was getting worse and worse each day and that it was swollen and painful. I used the regular stuff for 3 months, he told me it'd clear up after 2. He talked me through it and even sent me a free bottle of the stronger teen formula, I used it for 2 months but that made my face a worse red, swollen, painful mess. Before this, my acne was moderate, it was finally clearing up after years of despair...I just tried this stuff to get rid of my persistent acne and scars. My face is barely going back to it's pre-Carley's state after going back to the acne.org regimen. It might work for some, but for me it made for the worst 5 Summer months ever, I liked their foundation, but I couldn't leave home without it because I looked like a burn victim, seriously.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
