Pros:

Clears up your skin nicely, no fragrance, started seeing results in the first week

Cons:

Have to be consistent about using it, redness increased for 2 days, Step one is a little gooey making it hard to squeeze out.

I used AcneFree when I was about 13-14 and it really worked but then I got lazy and stopped. Now I'm 16 and started using it again because I broke out really bad. I'm on my second week and most of the pimples and blackheads are gone. My skin is less oily too. I love that it doesn't have a fragrance and that the results are quick.

Pros:

i have really nice even toned skin!but i noticed i started to get a couple of pimples here and there,so i used acne free and it worked rite away!its a great product.within 3-4 days, using it atleast twice per day i saw a big change.

Cons:

it burns a little when applying the 3rd step.not every single pimple goes away but it becomes smaller and less noticeable!

buy it!it worked for me!everyone's skin is totally different but there is no harm in trying the product.....

Pros:

I'm 36 and still have problem skin, i was really suprised at how quickly using this cleared up my pimples. i was really sceptical at first but my skin is 100% better even after just a few weeks.
the best bit is that my pores are smaller and cleaner

Cons:

At first it seems overpriced but when i compare it to my other products, cleanser, moisturiser, spot cream etc, it doesnt seem so bad.
i wish the toner was in a larger container. the cotton balls soak most of it up and not much goes onto my face.

Im getting married in two months and really want clear skin, for now im happy to pay the price. It does smell but not badly, it smells like any another spot cream that contains benzoyl peroxide. botton line is im really happy with the product and would recommend it to anyone to have a go.

Pros:

It did wonders for me, But I was also taking birth control, both combined I had maybe one zit a month.

Cons:

dried my skin out and made me look a little red cheeked

Help81, did you try getting a higher dosage? The same thing happened to me before I got onto birth control and that was 4%. So my doctor put me on 8%, and I never got another zit after that, but birth control is seriously the acne wonder pill.

Pros:

It helped with minor acne and redness and kept some whiteheads under control

Cons:

made my skin look dry and lifeless. It did not completely clear up my skin, it did not clear up whiteheads, it gave me pimples every day!!!

Buyer's beware.

I tried Dan's regime for more than month now, and I just stopped this regime because I realized that it is not going to help and I was tired of pasting my face with this BP gel every day, twice a day! I would get breakouts everyday!!

Pros:

Worked really well for both my kids. It cleared up their face acne and body problems

Cons:

Dont order online. Its not worth it. Order from a kiosk because you get it when you need it. No club joining involved.

It works and my whole family and friends all use. You have to be consistent with it and then you will see results.

Cons:

i had clear skin and hardly any pimples , now after one weeks use , my skin has staring breaking out! and my skin has become peely , and extremly dry. I dont know what to do now. I have discontinued the product and am going to ask them for a refund.

Pros:

-Sometimes you could really feel it working, and it felt really cool to use.

Cons:

-Dried out my skin really really bad. I have burns around my eyes, and around my mouth is really dry. It's flaking and I can hardly move it. My right eye is slightly swollen from the burns and dryness. I didn't really see any improvement in my skin.

At first when I read it on this site, and got it recommended to me by a friend, I didn't really care what the other people said. Boy! Was I wrong. About the third day in, I noticed that it slightly burned when I put a little cover-up around my eyes. (Because I get horrible bruising, and sleep lines.) I ignored it, and went on with my routine, by the fifth day (today) I did my morning usual, washed my face, etc. But as I started to really move around my face, and look at myself in the mirror, I noticed that one eye was slightly swollen. This freaked me out. I started looking closer. It's horribly red around my right eye, and slightly around my left. I called in sick, because I did NOT want to be seen like this. My mouth is so dry, and it hurts. Bottom line?: I would not use this product again. It dried out my skin because of the high peroxide count, and in the end I did NOT see any improvements like other things I've used.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
