Pros:

worked wonderfully - even vanquished the cystic acne in the hollow of my jaw that had been there for years! With a once a day application, the tube lasted a very long time.

Cons:

the price because Oxford didn't cover it, and the smell (smells like dog food, but it goes away after it dries)

Totally worth it. When combined with BenzaClin and Nicomide tablets, this regimen is the only thing that has cleared my skin completely in years. Cystic acne is totally gone!

Pros:

Lightweight. You only have to use a little bit. I've been using it once a day, every day for almost two weeks. It has dried out my pimples and my white heads. It has also has reduced the amount of my blackheads. It also worked on the acne on my back.

Cons:

It can make your face feel oily. IF IT DOES, YOU'RE USING TOO MUCH. It also makes your skin a little worse before it clears it up. Be patient.

It does work. It is a weter-based acne medication, so you do not need too much. If it makes your face feel oily, use less of it. I like this product, it works for me. I am a 15 year old female and my acne is moderate. It took about 9 days for it to start working.

Pros:

Once a day application makes it easy to use. I have had no noticeable drying and any redness is temporary. After one and a half months, I've had no major breakouts.

Cons:

I've experienced some slight burning sensation a few times when cleansing my skin (using Cetaphyl normal/oily) but quickly goes away.

I used to get big, under the surface cystic acne on my chin area and some smaller whitehead acne around the nose area. Since using Ziana, I have not had one cystic breakout and maybe one small whitehead near my nose. I am very happy with the results and my skin looks great every day!

Pros:

Seems to clear my skin up for the most part. Not as harsh as other products

Cons:

Tends to dry my skin out and give me flakes here and there. Cost is more without coupons

Im a male 21 who lives in New York. I typically hav clear skin in the summer and spring but in the fall and winter i tend to break out. I used proactiv my whole life until 18 when i broke out VERY bad. I then went to my derm and he gave me Benza cyclin cream for the morning and tretinoin cream at night. I would only wash my face in the mornings with neut. oil free acne wash(orange gel). i would just apply the tret before bed. This cleared up my skin completely with the occasional break out, but made my face RED with morning flakes. It was too harsh. I used this combo till 21 and used proactive again that summer only for the fall to come now and start to break out again. I have been using Ziana for about 2 weeks now every night and have really not had any bad break outs, but all the discolorations on my chin will not go away. and i feel like im starting to get things there. Its easier on the skin then what i was doing and all-in-all not a bad product. I think i must give it more time

Pros:

Has greatly improved the size of pimples, not gotten any of the cyst-like size bumps since starting 30 days ago; appearance of skin after a couple of weeks was much smoother and was softer

Cons:

Noted that red marks (healing scars?) stood out immediately and required cover with make-up, got fine rash-like bumps around hairline and on side of face near ear right away that took about 10 days to clear; at about 3 weeks, flaky dry patches

Am 43 and began experiencing cyst-like acne mid cycle about a year ago, nearly always to the lower left or right of nose, midcheek or chin ; when suggested a hormonal connection to derm, he put me on ziana gel and spironolactone (already taking tetracycline), cyst-like pimples did not present at mid-cycle but more manageable tiny zits did ; am very pleased after 30 days
October 30, 2009

Pros:

it works in ways that no OTC can possibly work.

Cons:

turns my pimples into flaky spots before they disappear--annoying b/c it's harder to cover flaky spots than zits! my derm suggested using only a pea-sized amount for my whole face. i find that if i use more than that, my skin becomes very irritated.

for me, the product works, as long as i use it consistently, and don't use so much of it as to irritate my skin. i did not have any oiliness issues as others have been reporting--if anything, it's helped to reduce my usually grease-bucket level of oil production. as long as my derm gives me the coupons (or my insurance decides to add it to their formulary), i'll continue to use it.

Pros:

No irritation, No dry skin

Cons:

super expensive....must ask doc for discount card to get it for $25
Takes awhile to see results...took me a month before I noticed a difference.

FINALLY!! After more than 10 years and thousands of dollars spent on medication (over the counter and prescription) I found the answer to my prayers. Just in time for my engagement pictures...Thanks Ziana!

GOOD STUFF

I have had acne ever since I was 15. I am 26 now and I am still fighting it. Sometimes it is mild and sometimes it is so bad I want to hide and never come out of the house. Acne has really affected my life. I am going to say that two years ago I used ziana and it completely cleared my acne. My face was so clear people couldn't even believe I had acne before but now two years after my skin is again horrible, I think way worst that before. I have tried all acne medications out there without good results.
