Pros:

It has not dried out my skin whatsoever

Cons:

my acne has progressed, if not much worse than before.

My dermatologist insists that it works and takes up to a month to see results, but my acne is so much worse than before, that I have trouble going out during the day. My acne has gotten so bad, that I feel the need to cake on my makeup, even during school (i go to an all girls school). It has yet to work and at this rate, I really don't think it will. Oh well. At least it was cheap.

Pros:

While I have little to moderate acne (I'm female), I do suffer from Acne Cysts. This is the ONLY product that has ever cleared them up QUICKLY and with NO SCARRING.

Cons:

During the time that it is eliminating the cysts, it does dry out the skin where the acne is and the skin peels off in layers. Can be a little itchy.

If you don't know about Acne Cysts, thank your lucky stars. They are groups of blackheads that fuse together under the skin and form one HUGE and Painful Puss-filled zit UNDER the skin. No whitehead ever forms, and even the derm can't really help. Alot of times they have to do a minimal surgery to extract the toxic puss out of the cyst. Mine would last for months sometimes, and would leave scars and be extremely embarrassing. This product is the ONLY product I have ever used that actually clears and ELIMINATES my cysts. And whats more, it eliminates in a week or LESS!! I couldn't believe it the first time I used it! It was not painful, it absorbed right into my skin so there was no greasiness, and I can wear moisturizer and makeup over it. It does dry out the skin where you put it on, but this peels itself off in layers over the days you use it. It can be a little itchy the first 2-3 days, but not after that(for me). I don't use it all the time, just when I get a cyst.

Pros:

Reduces major pimples in a short time with continued use. And reduces redness.

Cons:

Sometimes leaves patches of dry skin where severe acne bumps were.

This product seemed to work immediately after I used it, but then a week later, I broke out horribly. But when I continued to use Ziana, it cleared up the large acne spots I had an they were gone in about 5 days. Now I'm left with a few small pimples, and some dry patches. Its nothing I cant deal with. Just use a litte moisterizer with it.

Pros:

-made my skin better
-once a day

Cons:

-expensive
-has a kinda greasy feel (not too bad though)

i still have pimples, but i dont have one growing every day like i used to. it heals my pimples as they dont go full out inflamed. -remember to use a little bit (a pea size amount) all over your skin. no more. it was itchy during the first few days, i never peeled, it went away though.

Pros:

i thought it was working at first

Cons:

as i used this product for about 6 weeks it caused my face to be extremely oily, flaky and itchy. my dermatologist prescribed it to me to counter-act those exact symptoms and it totally magnified the problems

do not use unless you like a soggy, flaky face

Pros:

None

Cons:

My face developed patches of alligator-like skin. I broke out with red deep pimples all over my cheeks that I had not had prior. Did not get rid of any previous acne. My face became more oily and shiny.

This product didnt work for me. I used it for two months and two weeks. Returned to my dermatologist and even he could see it was the wrong choice. It may work for some...not for me. Biggest waste of time. My rebate card covered the full price- so at least it wasnt a waste of money too

Pros:

seems like it worked at first

Cons:

very expensive, lots of peeling

I loved this at first but now that I'm almost 4 weeks in, my acne seems bad again. I use it three times a week to minimize the peeling (per my derm). It's hard to wear face make-up with the peely skin, I keep holding out that it hopefully gets better soon! My dermatologist swore by this product to help my acne plus the surface of my skin. I'm 37

Pros:

with insurance it is very affordable

Cons:

it gets worse a lot at the beginning

i am still unsure of ziana. i nearly used it for three weeks, but my face got worse. it is so bad i don't even want to talk to people. my cheek became very red, and there was a breakout on my forehead. worth mentioning though, was that my skin did get better in the end of the second week but suddenly very worse after a few days. so far, my skin had been worse than before i used ziana. i regretted a little bit that i started to use it, but i hope that things would really get better in a month (which is so long!). no other acne products had cured my acne problem in three years. also, a peasized amount is not enough to spread across the whole face.

Pros:

Gel. Part of an easier regimen than in the past.

Cons:

Takes a long time to work, face gets oily & shiny

Morning: Wash with Philosophy Purity + moisturizer + sunscreen with SPF 35 Night: Ziana Gel + either Purity or Zoderm BP Face Wash Weekly scrubbing with St. Ives Microderm Abrasion or Olive Scrub This product takes a long, long time to work. It's been 4 months so far for me and my skin is a lot better than before. For the 1st month, I thought my skin was improving. Then I just broke out - first on my forehead, then my cheeks. On the 4th month, my forehead is completely cleared now and there are 4 small pimples on my cheeks. I put BP on those occasional pimples though. Scars are slowly, slowly fading but apparent so that's why I'm using scrubs to help with the process. Zoderm is a bit strong on my face so I use Purity. No need for moisturizer at night; face gets oily anyway. Seriously, this gel is only for those who are patient!
