Pros:

Evens out skin tone, wrinkle fighting people will notice if you give it time how well your skin looks

Cons:

purging process, oily to dry skin.

I tried isolaz and it didnt really work. That Doctor said I would benefit from a retinol. My derm said isolaz is just a temporary fix and retinol is best bet(ziana).Once purging is done it will work all the time and is recommended for use all the time..I'm on week 6 now and it is slowly starting to work..SKIN DOES ADJUST Heres how i managed Week1-3 apply 2-3x oily skin but no new acne Week 4 Apply 5x M-F bad purging week 5 Apply M-F clearing up fast week 6 Apply M-F bad purging (again) I here after this I'm in the clear. I've read it gets bad then good then bad then slowly your in the clear. I can feel it working. this is he only way to do it and probably the best way tips: moisture after morning wash, apply ziana at night(very little) DO NOT USE WITH SALYCIC ACID WASH. Facial scrub 2x a week, and anti-inflamatory shampoo daily(head and shoulders) Good luck! be patient

Pros:

I got it for Free. My derm gave me a card for one free tube and the tube is huge! You only use a pea size for your entire face (it's considered a 'gel' but it's really a gel/watery consistency which makes it easy to spread). I've been using it for almost 3 months and i've only made a tiny dent in the tube.

Cons:

-skin looks a little more oily/shiny
-drys your skin (I'm also using Duac in the morning so it could be that also)
-This stuff PURGES your skin, everything comes out so expect to break out in the beginning.

My face is clearing up. It takes awhile before you see results. I think I was up to week 6 before I finally started noticing results. I was frustrated up to the point where I was going to switch derms but hang in there it does work.

Pros:

works great, pulls out all the yuckies, no peeling on non-broke out skin

Cons:

expensive and makes peeling spots where my zits were

Love it! Use it only at night, but it works great. First couple of weeks, I had tons of blackheads appear, but I think it was just pulling everything out of my skin. Now my skin looks great. It's my highest co-pay at $35.00, but hopefully it will last a few months.

Pros:

This REALLY works; it's AMAZING!!! It clears up acne, makes your skin smooth, and is so easy to use.

Cons:

Very expensive, but it is definitely worth it.

This stuff is AMAZING!!! I have been using ziana for almost 3months now. Nothing that I've ever used has worked before, and I've tried everything (yes, even proactiv). I confess that when I first started using ziana, I did not see results right away. After the first month, I really noticed the difference. My skin is so smooth, and I have not had REAL breakouts since I started using it. Although I don't have any more acne, I do have reddish-pinkish spots close to where the acne was, but they are disappearing slowly on their own. My dermatologist says that in a few months, my skin should be back to normal. Remember that you might not see results right away, but hang in there, because it works!!

Pros:

Wow this really worked!!!

Cons:

Are you patient enough to wait?

First 7 or 8 weeks was pure hell. My face broke out like never before. Huge Cystic acne all over the place, much worser than when i originally started using the cream. I use this at night with cetaphil moisturizer and now its been the 11th week and my skin is flawless. I notice one tiny bump but two days later its gone. No more puss or huge week long lasting boils.

give it time, and couple it with an oral treatment
This is not a miracle gel, but I don't really think any of them are if you really suffer from chronic or severe acne. I have had the worst time getting Tretinoin gels to work for me-- I am the first to say that I think they are more trouble than they are worth, and it's very hard to get past the "initial breakout", which is truly terrible. I found though that in this combination, the Clindamycin helped pimples heal faster and prevented them from getting yucky and more inflamed. I coupled Ziana with Spironolactone because I suffer from hormonal cysts, large pores, and oily skin. I started seeing results from this combination after about 6 weeks. I think that a lot of these gels need time, and they need to be paired with an oral treatment to be really effective. I don't really think there is one stop shopping with acne treatment.

Pros:

does not stain clothing (yay)
apply once every night
does not leave a noticable film when applied
lasts a long time

Cons:

smells funky
expensive
weird greasy/watery combination

During my high school years I had a minimal amount of back acne but remedied it with Neutrogena Body Clear scrub & loofah. Anyway, it went away til now. I'm a picker (not a good thing to admit on a acne website) lol but the sun and my picking made the bumps worse and left white spots.ugh It made me self conscious to wear tanks so I went to the derm for 1st time and she recommended Ziana. I have been religliously using the stuff for 8 days now but have not noticed any difference yet. No side effects and it hasn't gotten any worse so I'll keep at it!

Pros:

Very clear skin
Non drying

Cons:

None so far

I was on Azelex for a year for my breakouts. It didn't really work well, although I tend to get dry skin and it helped a little without drying me out. I just switched to Ziana Gel on Monday and so far the results have been amazing. I know it's early, but I hope this continues. Like other posts, it helps a lot with reducing the size of existing pimples. I have not had more outbreaks that before but maybe because I was already on Azelex before??? My skin looks amazing and it's never been this clear (without being scaly dry). Fingers crossed that it continues . . .

Pros:

This stuff didn't seem to work right away, but I kept using it and after 2 weeks my skin started to clear up a lot. It was working pretty well, and during my first period using it, I didn't have any breakouts!

Cons:

After about a month, I don't feel like the gel is working as well as it was. I'm using it every night. I went back to my dermatologist and she prescribed doryx (an oral antibiotic) to see if that will help ease some of my breakouts.

It works, definitely helps control the severity of the break out if you get one. Also, if you have to pop a pimple, this gel works really well overnight. I popped a pimple and put the gel on it, and the next morning it was practically gone!

Pros:

Seems to work so far. Although it is expensive, there are discounts and cards that reduce the price greatly.

Cons:

Accelerates break outs, but it might be worth it. Some dryness and peeling, but my skin's always been dry, so it's nothing I can't handle.

I've had Ziana in my possession for about a month. I was afraid to use it because of some of the bad review I had read about it. But I've been so degraded by the breakouts I was having that I gave in and decided to give it a shot. I've only been using it for about a week. What I've noticed it is that I am still breaking out, actually I've been getting more pimples than less. HOWEVER, the pimples themselves are not becoming red or painful, which is what normally occurs for me. While I've been breaking out more, the usual appearance of them has been minimized greatly. I can live with that. It was the huge, glaringly obvious ones that made me want to cry and never want to go out. I'm hoping that the reason I'm getting more pimples is because the Ziana is pushing all the bacteria and stuff that causes acne to the surface. Therefore, in a way purging my skin of the "bad stuff". This is only week one, so I'll update this in about a week.
