Pros:

Gave my face a nice, soft texture. It instantly became smooth to touch

Cons:

Too harsh, broke me out severely

I tried this every night for 1 wk, and i used it as a mask, kept it on for 2/3 mins, till it dried and scrubed it off. I had a lovely texture but it made my acne inflammed & red!..I broke out on my chin for the first time in 24 yrs on earth.

Pros:

None - apart from being cheap

Cons:

No good for sensitive skin, irritate and burns if left on too long, messy

I really wanted this to work as I was going to take a natural approach to treating my acne.. (have since started doxycycline) Bummer I have sensitive skin and could only handle it on my face for couple of minutes or it starts burning and irritating the skin.. Drops all over the floor when it starts to dry.. My advice is "Get something that works"

Pros:

Feels like it might work.

Cons:

Doesn't work. Makes my skin red and blochy and dry. May cause more acne to come.

For some, may work. Well, obviously it does for some. Give it a try, you never know. Right now I am using a NEW clearisal product(face wash) and it is working great!!!Also the Pears soap from the dollar store!!!!!! This whole baking soda thing hasn't worked for me.

Pros:

it is cheap, easy to use

Cons:

really really dried out my skin--made it tight and ten a little flaky

I swear by baking soda to put in your bath water to soften your skin and was told by a dermatologist that using a baking soda paste rivals microdermabrasion. Some spas even use baking soda and charge a fortune. As for my face I just felt like it was irritating it more. A better idea (the same clay as in your face masks is crushed kitty litter--the natural clay type--put it in a coffee grinder and make a water paste with it and use it as a spot treatment.
