Pros:

it is cheap and it works for the first week

Cons:

it dried and irritated and redness really bad the bottom part of my mouth

it works if you use it certain days but when you use it and you later rinse it off it leaves your skin so smooth and feels AWWWmazing but if you use cold water .

Pros:

Nothing, really.

Cons:

Nothing here either, lol.

This baking soda/water spot treatment idea failed for me. It just didn't do anything at all.

Pros:

Clears skin up a bit
No harsh fragances
Doesn't clog pores
Oil-free
Cheap

Cons:

Can be a little too harsh, leaving skin red
You need quite a lot of it

For about a week I had gone on vacation to the beach and brought along a box of baking soda, a bottle of hydrogen peroxide, and some cotton balls. I am not sure if the salt water and sunshine helped as well, but after exfoliating my face with baking soda and applying hydrogen peroxide twice a day for a week my acne went from moderately light to very light. I would not call it a cure, though - the results were not amazing, and my skin had a "flushed" look. For a quick fix, baking soda is pretty good.

Pros:

good exfoliant
squeaky clean skin

Cons:

irritated my skin which made its condition worse
stings
NOT for sensitive skin

tried this about 3 times already, in different weeks, not consecutively. well, everytime i use this my skin is stinging. the last time I used it, I just pat it on the surface (not rub) but I felt that it still stings. It's not really meant for my sensitive skin.

Pros:

Makes red marks a litte lighter but no sudden change (at least not for me)

Cons:

- Stings like crazy, especially if you apply it on open acne wounds.
- It can burn your face if you have sensitive skin

For me it helped in the beginning but I made the mistake of combining the baking soda with a cream my dermatologist had prescribed for me. Basically the cream thinned out my skin and made it more sensitive to acidic chemicals. I didn't know this until I put the baking soda on my face and it burned like crazy. After I washed it off, it had burned off a large portion of my skin on my cheek and it was not pretty. I was walking around for a week with an ugly scab until it healed. Needless to say, I will not be using baking soda anymore. At least not at the same time as I'm applying other creams.

Pros:

exfoliates your skin
skin feels clean
cheap

Cons:

stings, dries out your skin, caused more breakouts where i usually don't break out

I tried this for a couple of days and did not have a good reaction to it so I stopped. It was too harsh for my combination skin, and I was gentle with it. It gave me pimples around my mouth where I never had any before. After using it I could see that my skin was sort of peeling, and not in a good way. I would recommend a gentler exfoliant, like right now I am using one with pumice micro particles and it's working really well. I have light acne, and my biggest problem is clogged pores and a couple of pimples. Also, maybe I didn't stick to it enough to see great results, because it seems to work for a lot of people, but I would say be careful if you are looking for something gentle.

Pros:

smooth skin

Cons:

break out
itchy
irritating

if you wanna get rid of flakes, go for it, but that's when you don't mind getting acne again, and if you don't mind dealing with the marks and scars... I would not recommnad it..

Pros:

Cheap
Easy to use

Cons:

Burning sensation
Red inflammations

I wouldn't recommend this to people who want to try it. It burns and doesn't leave much result.

Pros:

My skin was noticably softer
It paled the acne
It cleaned out my pores
Most of the blackheads on my nose-they seem more brown than black- are gone
You only have to mix water and baking soda from your fridge

Cons:

It burned like h*** for a few minutes if you got it in any cuts or open scratchs or any openings in the skin
It flakes off after a few minute just by the turn of the head or ANY movement of the head
Doesn't have immediate results like promised

I would probably only recomend this to poeple with very light or light Acne or poeple with blackheads
