When they take the scissors and run it down a length of hair to give it 'texture' - sometimes it done with a razor, then it's called razoring. Razoring is a bit cleaner looking.

Every time they've texturized my hair I've ended up with a bazillion split ends. And massive frizziness. I don't let them do it anymore, point cut only.
