Ablative fractional laser with PRP seems to work pretty well as long as you get a bunch of sessions done. Stay realistic and expect improvement, not dramatic reversal.

Yeah, that's one of the ablative laser types. You'll want to ask your doc which is best for you in particular.

I mentioned Ablative fractional laser with PRP based on the picture you posted, which doesn't seem just like one or two icepick scars. It looks like overall smoothing could help. If you could post better pics that could help.

If you're just concerned with a few icepick scars, usually TCA has to be done a few times. With scarring, it's kinda like that. Most procedures need to be performed several times to get results. So perhaps TCA a couple more times and then ablative fractional laser with PRP to smooth everything out.

Your texture is a lot like mine. Mine might be worse up close, but I think I have less scars and just more lines or cracks basically. I agree with Dan that fractional c02 (ablative of course) might be the only thing worth investigating for texture. Full ablative laser seems overkill for "superficial" texture. By superficial I mean shallow or textural, not deep or wide.

As Dan says, with PRP seems to be a good consensus. It's client specific in my opinion. The PRP needling seems to have both ups and downs and be specifically beneficially for certain issues. Maybe when the fat loss or dermis irregularities are greater, the "vampire facial" aka PRP needling is presumed to help grow back or mend that which normally doesn't with a one time injury like fractional.

Basically PRP microneedling, according to how I was sold on it, sort of helps the foundation before fractional co2 might clean the superficial texture to some extent.

Having a single test spot of fractional co2 ablative, I found that my test spot was more level almost 2 weeks later, but the surrounding area was slightly murky both color and previously concealed indentations. Long story short, I do think it works for texture but I'm not sure of the risks. I'd personally like to try a full area but I'm usure just yet. But I do think judging by the test spot, that texturally it's worth a test. PRP needling is worth investigating too.

Salient might be right. Either way it's more of a textural issue, superficial scars. They look worse up close yep, just like mine. Sucks. Either you don't do anything and avoid the risks or you test laser or PRP needling and see. I'm not a full fan of laser but for the people they work for, they really work in the right hands (it seems).

All I can say is be careful and choosy on doctor. Testing + selective doctor gives better odds.
