Hello everyone! I can't believe it's been three years since I published my last article: "I found magic cure for acne scars, especially new scar! Now I'm 85% acne scar free"!
I'm thrilled to announce that my acne scars have finally healed! I'm excited to share my experiences from these past three years with you.
Please note that the following are my insights from 2022 to 2024. The content above reflects my experiences before 2021. If you ask me now what the best treatment for acne scars is, I would say it's Bellafill!
I believe the ultimate solution for treating acne scars is Bellafill! If you've read my article from 2021, you know I've tried countless methods, including around ten laser treatments. While the deeper scars became shallower, they never completely smoothed out. I realized that continuing with laser treatments might only make the scars shallower but never fill them completely. So, I decided to try a different approach and used fillers directly. After much hesitation, I decided to give Bellafill a try. The hesitation stemmed from the fact that it's permanent and irreversible once injected. But, having no other options left, I went ahead.
Let me start with the conclusion: Bellafill is truly amazing. I had around ten injections in total. The first five were spaced about 2-3 months apart, and the latter five became increasingly frequent, sometimes just one or two months apart, because I saw the results and became eager to fill all the scars quickly. Ultimately, all my acne scars were filled. However, because I was too eager, ten injections were too many for me. This led to a bulge on my face where I had more injections, especially noticeable when I used a Japanese microcurrent beauty device for about three months. The device caused a localized white bump on my cheek where I had more injections. So, my experience boils down to two key takeaways:
1. Bellafill can definitely treat acne scars with excellent results.
2. Do not overuse Bellafill. Overuse can cause localized hard bumps that are difficult to reduce.
These two conclusions are very useful for everyone. Bellafill works, but don't be impatient and overdo it. Ensure at least three months between injections!
I was too impatient and injected too frequently, which led to a new problem of dealing with this bump, even though I no longer have any acne scars. The many injections flattened my skin, but now I have to address the new issue of the bump. So, if you're wondering how to treat acne scars, I highly recommend Bellafill. Additionally, during the intervals between Bellafill injections, I strongly recommend using a microcurrent beauty device. Why? Because even though the device caused my face to bulge, it clearly promotes collagen synthesis, as evidenced by the bump forming within just three months. If I had the chance to do it again, I would use the beauty device alongside Bellafill injections rather than after ten injections. I regret focusing solely on Bellafill until last year when I bought the beauty device on a whim during a trip to Japan. The device's effectiveness in promoting collagen synthesis is evident, as it quickly integrated the PMMA particles in Bellafill into my skin, forming a hard bump. Imagine if you used the device with each Bellafill injection to promote material integration with your connective tissuethe results could be incredible! However, everyone's experience may vary, so you need to monitor your face's changes, possibly on a monthly basis. These are my insights.
Oh, and there's a technique to injecting Bellafill. For some shallow acne scars, injections can be made directly beneath the skin surface rather than deep into the tissue. Some articles suggest Bellafill must be injected deeply, but I found this less effective. You should inject directly beneath the scar, not at a distance, as this doesn't effectively treat the localized area. To fill a scar, you need to inject close to it. The closer the injection to the scar, the better the results. This is based on my experience with ten injections. Also, if injections are too close to the surface, there may be localized redness and swelling for a few days, but don't worry; it will subside.
BTW, Bellafill is expensive, it cost me around 15000$ in total for 10 fillers. If you ask me what's the cons of it, cost is definitely one of the major disadvantage. Also, it's not undoable, so plz be super cautious about how much you put into your skin!
Good luck with your scar free journey
@girlmoder Thank you! I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. My understanding is that vegans do not consume meat. However, when it comes to our acne scar treatment where collagen dressings are applied, does this adhere to vegan principles? Even though vegans don't eat meat, they are still made of flesh and blood. So, if you want to regenerate tissue, you might need to use bio-based products. But if you are allergic to collagen, that's another story. Definitely try skin test first before you apply any collagen based dressing.
