Dr Eric Joseph injected my acne scarring with Silikon 1000. After 1 sessionIm confident I finally found not just the right treatment, but the right doctor. I saw impressive improvement. I plan to have at least one more session (this is a permanent treatment and therefore Dr Joseph is conservative in his approach-so not to inject too much). In fact, my sister who also has acne scars now wants to go with me on my next visit. My sister has never had any acne scar treatments because (after seeing what Ive went through and how much money Ive spent w/ no results) she didnt think anything would help.

Also, I think its worth noting that working with Dr Joseph was quite refreshing. My last doctor told me I was disfigured. In comparison, Dr Joseph didnt use manipulation to convince me I needed his service. He ensured me that even without injections, my skin looked good.

Over 23 years Ive had the following procedures with no, to very little, improvement:

-Chemical peels
-Microdermabrasion
-Variety of injections
-Variety of laser treatments
-7 Fraxel laser treatments
-Microneedling
-Threadlifts
-Dermabrasion and CO2 laser resurfacing (twice)
-Subcision, TCA Peel, Erbium laser resurfacing
-Subcision, fat grafting

Yes, I truly believe Silikon 1000 is "the cure" if you really want some real change. I've seen a couple of doctors expert on it. Yes, Dr Eric Joseph is probably the one of the top ones. I've heard quite a few stories telling good about him. I am also considering that to be my real last step if I need it.

Btw, what kind of scar do you have? One thing I am concerning is whether Silikon will help with textural scars.

I have boxcar and rolling scars. The decision to have permanent filler was not an easy one. You see the laundry list of things Ive tried.

I had an adverse reaction to Juvaderm injections once. It caused a large boil on my face. It was very painful to treat. When the boil was gone-it left a large depression. I say all that to say, just because the filler is TEMPORARY-does not mean you can't have PERMANENT damage.

Happy to hear you've found success. How much was the treatment out of curiosity?

May I ask if you know why you didnt have result with fat grafting? was it absorbed after a while or just no effect throughout? I'm considering this option

@prairieguy14 I paid $950 for one session. I just had my second treatment yesterday. It cost an additional $950. I saw significant improvement. I will likely go for one more treatment.

@calhg I dont know with 100% certainty. I believe the doctor did not evenly distribute the fat. One cheek was swollen exponentially more than the other. It also took much longer to healand it is still numb after 9 months. I saw very little improvement-but I did see some improvement.

Right cheek before and after two treatments. Note...this is the cheek that I have permanent damage from an adverse reaction to Juvaderm.

I can only imagine what a 3rd and possibly 4th treatment would look like! Im hoping to go again soon.

Dr. Eric Joseph injected me with Silikon 1000 too. It looked great in the beginning but now it's bumpy and hard.
