I received a cosmetic consultation from a dermatologist. They are recommending that I do Fraxel Dual and RF Microneedling. However, I searched up Fraxel Dual and learned that it is somewhat older technology. I do not know what to do now, since they have no other good lasers, and it will be a loss of 300 dollars that would be going to the first laser treatment. From my research, the Fraxel Dual can work for some kinds of acne scarring, but it seems to take many, many treatments to show improvement. I am considering doing RF Microneedling elsewhere, and then perhaps returning to them for the Fraxel, or even taking the 300 dollar loss, and going someplace else with more advanced lasers. If you notice anything about my kind of scarring that would be of guidance, I thank you.

I also have another question: if I receive RF Microneedling, do I need to do something about my pigmentation, sun spots, beforehand? Will the pigmentation, and sunspots, sink deeper down because of the RF Microneedling treatment? Any help at all is deeply appreciated. I will be posting updates on this thread as I go on my journey. Thank you.

Photos posted of my condition below. First, 7 pictured scars of my left side. Then, 9 pictured scars of my right.

I forgot to say. My skin type is Fitzpatrick IV. Light brown. And I forgot to ask, if there is a preferred order to the treatments, please let me know. Thank you!

You need punch excisions followed by lasers / tca cross/fillers imo. Do not waste money on single treatments. Fly out to specialists who can treat your scars

Thank you for your help. I'm not sure I can afford that just yet, but maybe in the future. I am just so tempted to try other things though.
I mean look at the before and after for the first two patients here for RF Microneedling: https://cutis.com.au/acne-scar-treatment/microneedling/
It's why I ask about my sunspots, does anyone out there know if it's better to do something about my sunspots and pigmentation, before possibly pursuing multiple treatments of RF Microneedling for scarring? Could the latter procedure, make the former worse, or harder to get rid of?
I thank all who see my post, even you don't comment, I will try to share all that I learn and do in the hope it helps others.

I don't see any sun spots. But, I trust that you see some. Sun spots are the kind of thing you have to kinda deal with yearly-ish anyway, so I'd say it doesn't matter too much. You could put it off and do scar stuff first.

I personally go in for a little laser zapping about once a year for any sun spot stuff that develops.
