Hey guys I'm 17 years old and I have really bad skin texture due to my acne scars. I think that this is because of rolling scars. Can anyone tell me a good plan of treatments that I can do and how much percentage of improvement can I expect?
On your second picture your skin looks good. On your first picture you have scars. Unfortunately thats almost impossible to treat. Some beauty doctors are ripping patients off and people loose a lot of money. If you want to get a treatment, set yourself the Money you want to spend, Like 200 or $ and not more. Dont expect big steps.
Skincare is very important to dont geht more scars. Whenever there is a pimple the best solution is a cream with adapalene. It kills inflammations really quick. You probably need a description from a doctor.
Skin doctors know a lot more thank people on this Forum. Meet two, three skin doctors and stay with who yo trust the Most.
Hope this Helps.
Agreed get a ton of consults and check doctor's pictures. Ultimately your best gamble would probably be subcision and/or filler. You have rolling and boxcar atrophic scars. A doctor might be able to blend some of it with laser afterwards or maybe like a full ablative on the left side, but the right side you have the above.
Truth is, some people say it works, some don't. I would test it and get a spot or two tested, don't test the whole thing if it makes it worse. Experienced doctor imo, it's very delicate stuff. The layers are delicate, so is the technique.
I've seen tons of before and after photos where scars like this are treated almost 60-85%. Even from local doctors. Maybe these outcomes are rare, or fillers are still in effect to mask it. I don't know. I just know I have seen reputable pictures of atrophic healed well. The problem is it's extremely case specific and doctor specific and often involves gambling. Like will I be that patient that gets super improvement, will that doctor be the one confident and experienced. Welcome to the black hole of acne scars sir lol.
As for resurfacing, only Dermabrasion helped me, old school in 2004 when they ablated the whole layers. But it did have a textural side effects. And they don't do super ablative dermabrasion anymore. Too risky they say. They say lasers are better. I don't know. Some say yes, some say no.
