Cons:
Burns, itching, redness.
Well I only used this product now for two days, but itch very much, and burns. But my dermatologist say that its the best of the dermatologist medicine for acne, so im using it.

After reading about other people's success with Tazorac, I've decided I may have had a bad reaction. My face turned bright red- I mean RED and stayed that way- very embarrassing. Big cystic acne developed. My face peeled constantly- so much so that I looked worse with makeup. My face was dry and flaky but seemed to produce more oil. I tried it for several months before switching to Differin. Differin worked perfect for me.

Made my skin dry, itchy, and red. I had a reaction to it, and it brought on breakouts. Not worth your beautiful skin.
It's terrible for anyone with sensitive, sallow skin. It did not help my acne. As soon as I stopped using it, my skin got much much better. Less redness and less pimples.

Pros:
It did clear up my skin after Murad MESSSSSED it up horribly.
Cons:
Really pricey. Burning sensation right after application.
I'm 25 and have had acne since high school. I read reviews for Murad online, and decided to try it, and that was the biggest mistake of my life. It made my skin 100X worse. Tazorac helped clear it up, but my skin has never been 100% clear. I've been using Tazorac for a year now, along with Doxycycline. While it has controlled my acne, I still always have breakouts on my cheeks. Also, my skin is very oily...i'm not sure if this has a connection to Tazorac though. I gave this product a 4 because it did help, but it hasn't cleared my skin completely.

Pros:
Makes skin smooth and soft, works well on clearing acne
Cons:
As everyone says, the initial 6 weeks are terrible. My skin was red, peeling, wouldn't moisturize, but after those six weeks, it looks so much better!
It works, you just have to be patient. Just think about how little 6 weeks is in the grand scheme of things. People won't remember your skin looked a little peely weeks ago, they will notice your great looking skin though!

IT KINDA SEEMS TO BE WORKING, BUT I STILL HAVE ALOT OF NEW LITTLE WHITE HEADS (CLOSED COMEDONES)SOME OLD AND SOME NEW ONES, BEEN USING IT SINCE JAN 08' FIRST CREAM THEN SWITCHED TO GEL. I AM STILL WAITING FOR ALL OF IT TO CLEAR THEY ARE ON MY NOSE AND CHEEKS (UNDER EYES) SEEMS LIKE IT IS STILL SPREADING.
STILL WONDERING IF I SHOULD TRY SOMETHING ELSE. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED ACNE BEFORE

Cleared up acne on chest and face and back, glowy complexion, no side effects after first few weeks of dryness

This has been awesome. I definitely recommend moisturizing first with an oil free lotion (I use Peter Thomas Roth oil free). I can't really believe how positive it's been. I used it every other night for the first few weeks, and only a pea sized amount like the packaging says. This stuff is intense, so I followed the rules and am v v happy.

I had mild-moderate acne, mostly on my forehead and chin, I tried taz 0.5% cream to clear up my skin and even the tone. After the first couple days I thought it was working but then my skin started to break out really badly all over esp. on my cheeks and the area around my mouth became really dry and flaky. Id read that itll get worse before it gets better so I stuck it out for 8 weeks but it never got better. My skin looks way better without taz than it did with it.

first of all, ignore the ratings i gave this because i've only been using it for 2 days but i have been using it with Acne Free Neutrogena wash in the morning and a pea sized amount of Tazorac in the night time, and it seems to be working quite well (the combo of those 2) Apperently it will make you have really dry skin and horrible break outs but im not afraid because my life doesnt revolve around my looks, and it will help clear it up for a long time instead of clearing it up for a week and then having another horrible breakout. remember, you cant get a rainbow without any rain!
