Pros:

it works on small pimples like whiteheads, but sometimes it burns the little suckers

Cons:

it doesnt work on cysts

the smell is okay. it tends to leave a film on your skin, so when it dries, try not to touch your face or else it flakes off and then you'll have to reapply it. it does absolutely nothing to a cyst. a bit pricey for a small tube, but it is a SPOT treatment. it occasionally will burn on new, itty-bitty baby whiteheads (and i dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing)

Pros:

The tingly sensation you get when you have it on.
Unclogs Pores
Get rid of blackheads & pimples.

Cons:

Hard to wash off.

I used it as a face mask and left it on for about 5 minutes. That worked reall well for me it got rid of my black heads because its unclogged the pore and cleaned it out. Plus when i rinsed it off it left my skin feeling really smooth! I loved how i could also feel it unclogging and opening up my pores. Then I reccomend putting a light moisturizer on your face. Thats the regimine.

Pros:

It got away most of the peeled and dried skin used from other acne products.

Cons:

It didn't get to much of the acne away, and my skin is soooo sensitive that my face turned a littl red.

It's a good product, but I wish that more of my acne could go away. It works, but to bad my face turned a little red.

Pros:

Great for clearing up the face.

Cons:

Tomato Toner is no longer available.

I've been using the Tomato Toner and Carrot Day Creme for about a year, after buying a sample pack of their products. These are the best (tried pro-active and others). It took about 2 weeks for my face to adjust, but my face hasn't been this clear in years. I apply the creme before my makeup and this gives it a great complexion to start. I don't have to use as much foundation either, and if I don't want to use makeup, I don't have to. On warmer days, the creme can be oily, therefore I just use a little less.

Pros:

It makes my skin soft after I use it.

Cons:

Doesn't exactly clean it up.

Don't only use this! Use this about once a week with other cleansers. this is NOT a cleanser, its just a scub, and is not meant to replace cleaning. It does make my skin really soft though, but remember not to scrub too hard, very gently or it could lead to more acne.

Pros:

This product really did reduce the size, redness, and swelling of my pimples. I would much rather use this than clean and clear persagel that dries out my skin and didnt clear it up. Not too noticeable

buy it, this product works... i think it depends though, on your skin- i have fair skin

Pros:

It makes your skin feel clean and soft

Cons:

The smell is horrible, plus it needs more beads to really "scrub"

I wouldn't buy this product again.

Pros:

This product is very good plus you can buy the EQUATE medicated apricot scrub, With the same benefits as st.ives apricot scrub. My face looks great and it rinses out all the oil on your face. Use everyday before i go in shower and rinse out.

Cons:

nothing really

really good product, and it is cheap

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
