Pros:

Clears your skin up in a relativley short period of time.

Cons:

Dries your skin out pretty bad.

This is the best thing next to proactiv. If you can't afford online acne products, go to walmart, and buy this. It works. I had moderate acne around my jaw line and my cheeks and tried using expensive organic acne meds for months. Not worth the hassle. The dry skin is worth the results. My acne is almost completely gone, AND my scars are going away. It's worth it.

Pros:

its a clear solution, so you cant see it once its applied. it also has an intresting smell, that i have to say i kind of like if its not too strong.

Cons:

it taked longer than 8 hours, it takes a few days to see it gone, or significantly decrease.

It works well on pimples that have already been rubbed, treated with something else, or picked/scrated at(by that i mean it takes the redness and inflamation away) unfortunataly, it can also realy dries out these kind of pimples if u use the product for more than 2 days, or if u put it on too often/too much.

Pros:

NOTHING

Cons:

EVERYTHING

I thought this product was clearing up my skin but it actually made it a little worse and for the person who says it smells wonderful you are crazy. If you have read the ingredients the fragrane is way to high up on the list.Dont you know that fragrance is one of the ingredients that contribute to irritation and more breakouts. Papaya is actually a great natural ingredient but not in this form.

Pros:

Very afordable.Great for skin.Removes acne.=]!!

Cons:

None :)

Okay so i've been having trouble with acne since i'm a teen but then i came across Apricot scrub. It works wonders. Some people are saying that the walnuts in this are bad because it could tear up your skin but ignore that. You really have to scrub gently and even though it says for about a minute keep scrubbing gently for like 4 minutes. Don't give up you won't see results right away, you'll see them in about 8 weeks or so.It really dries your pimples up and the saly.acid is good for you!! <3333

Pros:

Doesn't seem to bother my skin, and removes oil and makeup

Cons:

Didn't do much in the way of clearing breakouts, or preventing them. Just sort of kept my skin where it was to begin with

A pretty good product if used in combination with some other acne fighting products. By itself, the effect is rather minimal. Some areas certainly appeared better, but I have a feeling that was because of some other things I have been using as well. Clean and Clear products by the way.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
