Easy to find and with low side effects, but don’t be surprised if you are left wishing for better results after using it for a while. Any acid on its own is unlikely to dramatically clear acne.

Pros:

-smells wonderful like cucumber/watermelon
-really did its work
-non drying
-great for oily skin
-made acne somewhat go away
-clean, minty feeling after wash

Cons:

-waxy feeling

This is an amazing product. I would recommend this to anyone who has fairly light acne or moderate; if you have severe acne, it may not work, so take caution I have tried many products while I had severe acne but when my pimples became mild and less frequent, the cleansers and scrubs I used did not make my acne go away entirely, and I do believe this scrub did its wonders! I am very pleased, and anyone out there who has tiny annoying zits and is looking for a milder scrub, I recommend this product; it is amazing. Also, it is great for oily skin--just use a moisturizer in case it makes you flaky. Bottom line, its a great product! Be patient, and work this with your daily routine--does wonders!

Pros:

Light, nice fragrance.
Really softened my face.
Seems to work!!

Cons:

Really small bottle.
Not carried at Target.

I have been using this product for a week now and I have not gotten one new pimple since then. It has cleared up my existing pimples and makes my face feel really soft and not greasy. Love it so far!!

Pros:

Shrinks pimples, smells nice, feels awesome when applied, tightens poors, makes skin less oily, tightens pores.

Cons:

None.

I haven't been using this for too long, but already it is clearing up the acne I've had on my cheeks that would NOT go away, so I am very pleased. It makes my skin look more even and it feels great when applied. I love this product and I recommend for all kinds of acne.

Pros:

-Made my skin very soft afterwards.
-Smells great.
-Made oily areas cleaner.
-Didn't irritate the skin.
-Didn't cost all that much.

Cons:

-The beads inside hurt a bit.

This is a pretty good product if you have oily skin. I just started using it so i'm not for sure if it actually clears the acne all that well.

Pros:

I've had acne since puberty (28 now) and I've tried it all. Topical Prescriptions, Oral prescriptions, Proactiv, and half of the drug store aisle, but I have never had success like I have had with this product. I use the gel cleanser and moisterizer everyday; the scrub when I am done with the gym, and the spot treatment occasionally. Not only is my skin clear for the first time in my life, but it now glows with health (perhaps its the all natural thing -I am not really into that, just a bonu

Cons:

The scrub leaves a funny residue immediately after use. It made me nervous the first time I tried it, but the product works great. The spot treatment is a liquid which was different. The smell is fresh but it takes some getting used to.

I am now clear and GLOWING for the first time in my life. I look so much healthier. I've lurked on this site for over a year researching products to get my acne under control, and this is the first product that has made me feel the need to share my success. Try It. My full regimen: AM: Drink hot lemon water. Burt's Bees Gel Cleanser and moisterizer, spot treatment if needed (rarely, this stuff is awesome). PM (Spring, Summer, Fall): Burt's Bees Gel Cleanser and either their moisterizer or the Neutrogena Anti Aging / Anti Blemish Clear Up Cream, then if needed Clearasil Adult Acne Sulfer treatment on spots. PM (Winter): Neutrogena Anti Aging / Anti Blemish Scrub and Clear Up Cream. Clearasil Adult Acne Sulfer treatment on spots. I only use Neutrogena in winter (and occasionally in other seasons) because the AHA in the cleanser is too harsh with the sun for my fair, fair skin.

Pros:

worked after first use in face, back, and chest...amazing!

Cons:

a little expensive bot completely work every penny. the lotion part of the 3 step program has abit of a funny smell, but not bad, and works so well i woudnt care how bad it smelled

i used this as part of a 3 step program, and i felt and saw the difference after the first use. i hate to sound like an add but its true.I have been on the pill for 7 years for acne and wanted to come off it, but my skin flaired up, and didnt get any better over the next few months. the lady at the clinique counter gave a sample of the 3 step acne solutions program to try, as i was sceptical and didnt want to pay the money and risk it not working. it worked so well, my acne began to dry up and the redness reduced after the first use, and it just keeps getting better. it didnt dry the rest of my skin out at all, it felt soft and smooth, and my friends noticed the differnce after day 2. i cannot rave highy enough over this product! i would reccomend this to any one.

Pros:

feels great, smells great!

Cons:

worked at first, but then stopped.

okay, so it is a really great product. i'm thirteen, and i have been using it on and off. the first couple of times i used it, which was about a month each time, it worked great. about week ago, i started using it with Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Astringent, and it didn't work. I worked a bit, but my forehead is still lumpy and red. i basically only get pimples on my forehead, and it actually made me break out more. no good.

Pros:

It actually does what it claims to do. Cleans deep and makes you skin less oily. When you put it on you can feel the tingles.

Cons:

I have heard that it doesn't work for all people so don't get your hopes up. So just try it out and see if your one of those who it actually works for. It's worth a try. I know I'm glad i tried it =)

This product is a skin saver. For me it works great. I have more confidence in my appearence of my face for i have suffered with acne for years. It used to be worse but now it is just moderate. This product helps to deep clean and prevent severe breakouts =)Clearasil Rocks!

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
