Pros:

Affordable & works.

Cons:

Nothing.

People say it makes their skin all flaky and stuff, but I think they're just allergic to what's in the product -- benzoyle peroxide. Many people are allergic to it.

Pros:

I put it on at night and by morning it obviously reduced redness. It makes the pimples get smaller and pretty soon they go away. Also I think that when I put it on where one was just starting it stopped it.

Cons:

Dries out your skin a little but I'd rather get rid of the acne and just use a moisturizer. Stings when you put it on but I like that because then I feel like it's working.

I think it's a good product and would recommend it. So far I'm happy with what I've seen.

Pros:

It really worked!!! And fast!!! Nice smell, easy to use. Makes your skin nice and soft.

Cons:

The spot treatment burns a bit, REALLY dries out your skin.

I used the Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Control 3-step kit. It worked wonders for my acne! I would've loved to keep using it, but I just couldn't anymore because it dried out my skin so much that people began to notice and it was starting to gross me out. The results were nice and fast, but they only will be fast if you use the system once in the morning, and once at night. However, do be careful with the spot treatment, because it does burn a bit, especially on open-zits. And also, whatever you do, DON'T USE IT IF YOU HAVE A SLIGHT SUNBURN!! I had to put that in capitals to make sure that you read that. Seriously though, I used it when I had just a tiny sunburn and it hurt SO bad that I started crying and had to dunk my head immediately in frozen cold water. I also had to sleep that night with an ice pack on my face. Dramatic much? Anyways, if you do use it, make sure to use some lotion on your face (such as cetaphil) to make sure that your face doesn't get too dry. (:

Pros:

Gentle on the skin, Smells Nice, Natural, Helps prevent future breakouts, leaves skin soft and smooth.

Cons:

Nothing, I am happy.

I'm not saying you are never going to have another zit, but this product line REALLY helps control acne, for the most part. If your skin is drying, it's because you need to use a moisturizer. I use the clear complextion moisturizer...I REALLY like it, makes my skin feel silky smooth. For the hard stubborn zits, I would recommend their spot treatment! Love it!!! I like that it noticibly helps to even my skin tone a little bit. I also use meladerm whitening cream to help even out my skin that need a little extra work. Also, Remember...no matter what product you use.....you need to exfoliate your skin with a scrub once a week, to get rid of dead skin cells that can clog your pores and cause all hell to break loose. I don't like any other brands because the chemicals are just to harsh! Also give the product time when you first try it. You have to give your skin time to adjust and get use to your new cleanser. If you keep switching your cleanser this can make things worse!

Pros:

dries out pimples, reduces swelling and redness and good smell

Cons:

dries skin out, does take a couple of weeks to begin working well

This product is great! It does dry your skin but all you need is a great moisturizer. At first your pimples will seem worse but that is because it works from the inside out. It brings all the impurities up. i love this product!

Pros:

This is the only product that worked well on my face. It calms my skin down and I can be pimple free and not use anything else on my face. Why was this product discontinued? This was the only one that worked well on my skin. Carry this product back.

This product really works and I really liked using it. Please carry it back on the shelves

Pros:

there are no pros to this crappy product

Cons:

plenty of them

1-Made my small red pimple into a HUGE RED WHITE HEAD, it dries the skin eventhough I have normal skin it made it so dry I could peel it. It also burns like a SOB!!!

Bad Product, it misleads the user to think it will work in a day. I have been using clean and clear products since I was a teen. This new "advantage"line is not good at all. The clean and clear Persa-gel does by far a better job and it's cheaper! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT IF YOU LOVE YOUR SKIN!

Pros:

A little goes a long way, and smells great for being an acne treatment

Cons:

none that i can think of

This is a GREAT product. I use it at night before bed, and in the morning after i wash my face. It can double as a moisturizer, I sometimes use a regular lotion (garnier skin renew) if I'm feeling overly dry. The scent is nice. Its a very light treatment and works great.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
