Pros:

Smells nice, works ok

Cons:

Does not work well over time.

Have used for about 8 - 12 months on and off and when first used worked very well in both keeping my acne at bay and moisturizing my skin. Now, seems that it doesn't do anything for my acne, but continues to be a decent moisturizer.

Pros:

it works pretty quickly, and effectively.

Cons:

mild irritation, slight stinging when it's applied-it was go away shortly.

a handy little product, but if you have sensitive skin like me do not use the product as much, try it out and see how your face reacts.

Pros:

I know, this product was paramount to anything else you can buy over the counter. I only used the step 2 astringent and it kept my skin free and clear. I faithfully used it for over 2 years.

Cons:

Now it's extinct :(

However, you can still get it...I just google the words "loreal pure zone" and there it is...you just have to pay alittle more for shipping but it's worth it!

Pros:

smells nice

Cons:

made my bacne WORSE

I had very mild bacne since I started working out more, so I started using this every day in the shower. Literally, the very next day I notice even MORE pimples on my back. I thought maybe it was one of those things where it has to get worse before it gets better, so I kept using it for three weeks, and My bacne is worse than ever!! I'm going to the store now to find something else! :(

Pros:

My skin never dried out and some areas feel smooth

Cons:

Acne got worse and blackheads didn't go away

I wasn't sure if you are supposed to use your hands or a wash cloth. I really didn't see any difference since I started. If you have nice skin but a few blackheads and sensitive skin, it's great. I guess it's not bad, but it just doesn't work for me. I am currently using the Oil Free Acne wash and it works great, too.

Pros:

At first in first 1 or 2 days it helped my spots really well and they gradually dry over and disappear!

Cons:

Its sooooooooooooo harsh on the skin, totally dries it out and makes it all peeel. felt like a burnin sensation on my face and had a red rash now its been REALLY dry and flaky for days even tho i had to get cream from a pharmacist, it can be sore.

use it maybe once a day for 2 days, not 2 tyms a day as it states to do so. would definately NOT use the product again tho. not worth the way your face is afterwards. i miss my soft skin! :(

Pros:

Clears up my acne shortly after I use it.

Cons:

none for me. people say it stings, but thats just it cleaning the skin. It feels good to me.

I love it. If I get a pimple, i use it twice a day untill it goes away. I also use the clean and clear moisterizer and morning burst.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
