Pros:

It doesn't smell and it's not heavy.

Cons:

There are no directions on bottles. Vitamins made my face 100 times worse then It ever looked! I would not even leave my house for 2 weeks!! I went from small little acne here and there to Huge acne bumps that were painful and gross.

It did not work for me. Made me so much worse I had to go to the doctors to even get my face looking decent enough to go out of my house! I used it for THREE WEEKS, because they say to give it time to work. After 3 weeks I couldn't even look at my self it was so bad. Wish it would have worked but sorry to say I hate those vitamins for making me lose weeks of my life!

Pros:

affordable

Cons:

Did not clear up any redness or acne from my eyes. Despite searing pain, I decided to continue to scrub, but it only seemed to make the situation worse!

After about 30 minutes curled up in the fettle position screaming and using clearisil's name in vain, the pain subsided.

Pros:

It helps clear up mild acne or small blackheads, but for the price I expected much better results. The only thing i like is the protection cream.

Cons:

Well first, the blemish serum is really painful when I put it on. It feels like someone is burning my skin off! The wash smells really bad and the h2o2 cream doesn't absorb into the skin. Only helps with mild acne not moderate to chronic severe acn

For purchasing this product for 50 dollars at a high end cosmetic store, I expected to find a high quality product but unforutately it did NOT live up to my expectations. I'm sure philosophy has many other great items but their acne line is probably the worst on the market. I was really upset that it didn't work and I will be on the hunt for another product that might help me clear up my chronic acne.

Pros:

It cleared up my acne fairly quickly.

Cons:

It made my face dry out at first.
It turned my towels orange!

I started using these products in December and I was amazed that it cleared up my skin so fast. Although it dried out my skin quite a bit at first, I was very happy with the products and continued to use them, and still have some left. However, at around the same time I started using the products (not realizing this at the time), my nice brown towels started to turn orange and I couldn't figure out why. I thought it was something in the wash although my clothes and everything else was fine. Just last week I stayed at my mother's house and after using her towels and my face wash, I noticed that her towels had orange on them too. Yesterday I decided to take a face cloth and test each of my shower products on it to see if anything happened and sure enough, the Clean and Clear Advantage face wash bleached the towel and left it a light, bright orange colour. And yes, I rinse my face very well every time I wash my face and this still happened!

Pros:

Smells wonderful & It did for me what the company claimed it could. It even came with a bottle of skin supplements.

Cons:

Toner goes pretty fast, so I normally order two toners per order.

There is not one product that Ive ever bought from Arbonne that Ive ever been displeased with. The acne line is what really pulled me in, because there were days that I wouldnt even go into public due to its severity. My brother as well had suffered with severe acne too, so we were constantly testing new products together. It is true that it takes some time (a week or so for me), but today, you could not find a red spot on my face. My skin tone has even improved. Keep in mind that I also began using the Arbonne mineral makeup (LOVE it!) about the time that I started using Clear Advantage, but I hardly ever wear makeup now. It didnt work as well for my brother, but what may work for someone, may not work for someone else. There are many different causes for acne (such as hormonal, toxins, allergies..etc), therefore are diff ways to treat it and I find it very close-minded of those who "ex out" a product just because it didnt work for them or someone they know. It just might work for you

Pros:

I can tell it's getting rid of the dirt and stuff from looking at it when I'm done using it, but I don't really know. Everything will work for me at first, and if I miss one day, it won't work anymore.

Cons:

It's got a really strong sent, but it's not unbearable.

I'm really a little afraid because it says blackheads, and I want it to get rid of my acne. But it works alright-ish so far.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
