i've been using doxycline for years(approximately 6+)...can any one tell me is it really dangerous to continue this tab?

Pros:
Cheap and has helped kinda on my cheeks
Cons:
i still have bad acne all an redness scar looking things on my chin an for head is little pimples
I been taking it for like 2 weeks hoping to see more improvment is worked kinda but i heard it takes up to 3 months to cure im tired of having acne all my friends have pretty clear skin an i see me an im like (Ewww) I mean my face is not horrible but still u can see it all an makeup makes it look worst...

I haven't noticed any improvement in my acne since starting doxycycline. I have severe fluctuations, some times my skin looks pimple free, others it it quite bad. However it was like that before doxycycline so i believe it to be ineffective.

im also using this with epiduo at night, and clindamycin in the morning.. so im not sure which one is working..but it may be the whole combo that is. i still have about 6 pimples currently, but they are in their final stage and i have some scarring which i hope this will also take care of. i reccomend it, give it a try.

I was on doxy for 2+ years from age 11-13. I eventually switched to minocycline, which was a better fit and provided a better solution for my moderate acne. While on it, I experienced major depression and anxiety but never realized that the medication could have been the cause. Last year I switched back to prevent malaria on a trip to africa and found myself feeling more anxious and depressed. Upon discontinuing the medication, all symptoms of anxiety and depression stopped.
Depression is not listed as a reported side effect of doxycycline, but it was a distinct side effect for me and I wouldn't take it again for acne or malaria. The negative mood alteration was too huge a price to pay.

Well, I just got done with my accutane treatment about two and half months ago...at first I was clear for atleast a month (perhaps 5 weeks) after accutane, but then slowly but surely I stated seeing it come back...I never had it too bad to begin with, but there were definitely white heads and pimples (I used to only get white heads before accutane, but now I'm actually seeing some red pimples and they hurt) So I saw my dermitologist, and she gave me Doxycyline (100mg) along with Differen and Ac Zone.... Well I just stated using it last week, but I feel weird, really itchy, and i wanna scratch my face pretty bad... I'm thinking about discontinuing Doxy and going back to my Derm and ask her to put me back on accutane....my skin was getting almost flawless while I was on it. Anyone else in similar situation!

Cons:
Takes a looooooooong time to work, and I don't like taking medication for a long time. Also gave me terrible, terrible nightmares, which is common.
If it starts to give you nightmares, switch.

Pros:
Dries face very quickly, you will see results fast!
Cons:
Eat before you take it, if you don't you will be vomiting all day, I learned the hard way! Also where an SPF 70 or higher while on the beach or you will burn!
Aside from the side effects it gets the job done.

face cleared up a it, but my back still continnues to break out bad

stomach pain......eh, and nausea,intense sunburns
I've used this medicine for a couple of months. my skin cleared up a bit, but not as good as i would like. i think im going to try to switch to birth control or something else. its not worth the stomach problems anymore.
