Cons:
Stopped working abruptly
I started using clindamycin about ten months ago. My face was breaking out horribly mostly with whiteheads. After a few days my face started clearing. After about a week my face was almost completely clear! I used this everyday, twice a day and my face was clear for almost the whole summer. Now unfortunately it isn't working anymore. My face is starting to break out again because I think it built up resistance to the antibiotics.If you have any type of acne I would at least give this an initial try and it will probably work for awhile, but it's not forever.

Pros:
I have used this for years. I think it's great. It's best if you use it 2 times a day. I still get pimples but they don't last long & they are not the huge painful pimples.
Cons:
none really.
I recommend this product. It takes about a month to get great skin, so give it time.

Pros:
Dries up pimples and prevents new ones. Affordable, with my insurance plan I only paid $15.
Cons:
Dries out skin and peeling may occur. Burns at first.
I had a horrible break out with large painful bumps all over my cheeks and forehead. My dermatologist prescribed me clindamycin, retin-a, and doxycycline and my face has drastically improved in the past three days. My skin and all the pimples dried out and peeled, which was really annoying and not cute. But underneath I had clear smooth skin. I like this regimen and I believe that overtime my face will completely clear up. My doctor explained that the retin-a is meant to speed up cell turn over and make my skin peel so that my pores do not get clogged by dead skin cells. The doxycycline is meant to prevent the bacteria from forming under the skin so if a pore does get clogged it bacteria will not form in it and it won't turn into a zit. The Clindamycin is meant to kill off and prevent bacteria from forming on the skins surface. I have not experienced any side effects besides the peeling which is expected. this product works!
I just stumble from this product when I was buying something form mercury drug. Mine was a glass roll on type clindamycin phosphate with vitamin E. It's named SOS (Save our skin) manufactured from the Ph. Only cost a hundred pesos / 2$. But it really work for me! I can manage my pimples with this. There was a time that I got a huge inflaming pimple on my forehead, I tried to pop it then after the bleeding stops I put some solution on my clean fingers then spot it on my pimple. As it dries I put another solution to it. I tried to put other treatments that I have but nothing works. I was so desperate coz I cant hide it with my make up anymore coz the bump is so big. :( I noticed when I stick to clindamycin sooner it shrink its size. I was so happy! I tried to continue the procedure and keep my hands clean to be free from further infection while I do the spotting. Now im always making sure that I have a socks and won't run out of this product. Since then it made me believe that this product works!

Zit zapper!
Pros:
Lowers the size and redness quickly
If applied twice daily the zit and scar will be gone in 1-2 days
doesn't smell like medicine.
Cons:
Doesn't work on blackheads.
Takes awhile to dry
Up to $140 if uninsured.
My dermatologist asked me all the products I've used and the products in my skin care routine, I ended up using 35 products and I had 7 in my routine,now with clindamycin there are only 3 in my routine.

I got this product for free because my aunt is a pharmacist so she gave me this bottle of clindamyvin phosphate topical lotion %. I think it works great but if you have sensitive or very dry skin. Do not use it!

Took a week or two for my skin to like it.
About 10 months ago my skin went crazy. Im 24 and have had acne since i was 15. Some years worse than others. But this time it was bad, not just new acne but when it came up it got so inflamed it made my whole face bright red even under makeup. I went to the Doctor and she put me on birth control and Cindamycin lotion. I stopped using the lotion at first, it felt too light and i had very dry skin so i felt like i needed something more intense. The birthcontrol helped a lot, but when i did have new acne pop up it got very infected looking and my skin was still dry and flakey as always. I had a friend who works in a spa tell me that i needed to try a light lotion because the heavy stuff was stressing my skin out. So i pulled out the cindamycin, at first my skin got even more dry but then after a week or so, i noticed the redness and dryness was pretty much gone. I love this stuff because it works so well for me and only cost me $7 a month, my old lotion was $30 and never worked half as well even just on dryness. Now my skin is amazing, almost never dry, red and any acne is pretty rare. I also started using a dermaroller a month ago to help with my slight scars and i love it! If i use the cindamycin right after i do the dermaroller i can feel it absorb deep and wake up the next day with perfect even skin. I just wish i had figured out this system years ago.
